My rpm gauge does not work properly. This just started during this cold snap in Virginia.
Any ideas?

More info, if you can.
Assume this gauge is within the instrument panel display unit ?
If so, may need to track down the sensor that is feeding this display.
Do you have the service tech manual for your 2025R tractor ?

See below pic of my instrument cluster. I pull cable & cleaned gunk out of it. It is turning freely. It appears the unit it plugs into on the back of the panel is frooze up. cable will not turn when plugged into dash panel. I guess I'll start looking for an dash panel. Any recommendations?

John Deere Instrument Panel - LVA802455 appears to be the part I need. $344 @ Green Farms. Any other cheaper?

I have the same problem. No tach reading, happened this past winter in very cold operations.

RPM sensor is located on front on engine (PN AM875580) and a cable threads onto the top of the sensor and then makes its way to the instrument cluster. Cable looks like a bicycle brake or shifter cable suggesting to me that it might spin inside the cable.

My immediate challenge is that I can't determine if the problem is in the sensor or in the RPM indicator. Getting to either area involves some time and labor which I am willing to invest.

Any thoughts or troubleshooting tips on either sensor or indicator would be appreciated
