2008 CK30 won't start

Hi folks:

My 2008 CK 30 is having some starting issues. I replaced the ignition switch, but no joy.

I can start the tractor by turning the key, locking the clutch pedal and then jumping the two poles on the start motor with a screwdriver.

I swapped the glow plug relay for the ignition relay and it still didn't work. :-(


Any suggestions to solve this issue are greatly appreciated.

That is a good test. It eliminates the fuel solenoid as an issue.

So, you are experiencing the starter motor lockout safety, most likely. I do not know exactly which safety switches you have, but I suspect you have one for the PTO and neutral, as well as the clutch. Mine is older and an HST. I have disabled my only safety switch (clutch).
