Thanks Skypup.

I really like it here. I'm about 10 miles north of Alachua just north of route 236. It's a great area...:)

Wouldn't that be about $9K-$10K less then the L39TLB?

Yes, that's right, we paid $35K for our L-39 when they first came out. And have been extremely pleased with its performance during the first 450 hours of hardcore operation! :D

Those B26s sure seem to be premium priced. Not sure how much you'd gain if anything with a B26 over a B7800 or even a 7610 with Woods BH. The B7800 would be more powerful and have about the same BH capabilities but would be far more flexible. Check out the wimpy PTO HP on the B26. I compared the B21 to my Kioti CK20TLB several months ago and most points of comparison ended up tied with the B21 having about a foot deeper digging range but the price differential was almost 10,000 bucks. The B21/26 TLBs are nice for sure but they are premium priced and you can get more for your money with a tractor based TLB.

More than a decade ago, I purchased a new Kubota L-35TLB that was introduced to the market; the price fluctuation between some dealers was $6000! A "supply and demand issue," with a few dealers trying to capitalize? A lot of "homework" is required, or buyers remorse will occurr after the sale??

I really like the L39 as well. I like the loader style and the hoe for sure. I think that for a relatively small diesel (same as was on my L3830) the GST is a superb combination.

Anyone know is the B26 is Armored like the older B20?

I have seen badly abused rental yard B20's that just keep going. I am thinking that part of it might be the heavy steel plate used on the hood and other places?

I think a tennis ball might dent some of Kubota's other models, like the hood of my BX23.

The front hood skin on the new B26 is the same as the L39 which is very flimsy. I had a B21 and a L35 and now have the new L39. The front armour is not the same as the hard nose that the B21 & L35 machines had. I was using my new L39 and a tree branch only touched it and now I have a large dent on the front hood. I love the machine, but if there was one thing I could change is the front skin on this machine. I think the B26 will ony be worse because of the machine size which will be more susceptible to falling and stray objects.

Jon.

I put a nice dent in the front hood of our L-39 too.....

Subsequently, I reinforced the front bash guard to try to prevent an damage to the radiator or hydraulic oil cooler by welding on 1/2 barstock to the guard. That worked well, but your right, the hood is pretty flimsy....

I'm curious how much it would add to the cost to make the skins a bit thicker. Material wise it would be a couple bucks, machine wise, I don't know.

Yeah, heavier gauge sheet metal with some underneath crosmember reinforcements would have gone a long way towards making the hoods more bulletproof, it is pretty lightweight as it is now.

It does its job of keeping the rain and UV rays out, as armor, its really lacking. You did exactly what you need to do to re-enforce the front. As careful as you can be trying to keep errant sticks from getting into the tractor, you are bound to miss some. I had one run up the side tin on my L3830 and push it in. It was so hidden by hoses that you never really see it, but I know it was there. If I ever get another TLB, I will armor it. Rat...

Nothing on the new 7.5 backhoe (BT801?) for the B26. Lots of L 30 inventory to be cleaned out of the Kubota piplines I hear, so look for deals on those.
New to the site. I have a question on the statement on the B26 BH. In the qoute it is listed as a BT801 (I just noticed the ???) and the info I have checked at my dealer, it is listed as a BT820. I sure would like to know what comes with the TLB. :)

I was guessing what the new hoe would be called, based upon their
recent naming conventions. BT751 was the integrated hoe for the B21
and BT601 is the new integrated curved-boom hoe for the BX24. BT1000
is a 10-footer for the L39 and BT1100 is an 11-footer for the L48.
Photo is a Feb 07 shot of the BT820 (the actual name). (Looks like
upload not working....will post later.)

Thanks muchly for the info and the picture. You wouldn't have any additional pictures of the tractor from what appears to be a tractor /garden fair of some kind? :)

Anyone have any B26 Troubles to report?

A friend is looking at the B26 or maybe a B21 if priced right.

We have one and love it. Nothing serious wrong just the normal small leak on one cylinder (Bucket tilt). We love the handling in the snow removal with the power steering and the HST.
Brady Barlow of www.barlowfarmequipment.com (if that isn't correct do a Google on Barlow equipment kentucky and don't let the location scare you off as we found the price could not be beat 4 miles from home) has a great deal on a new B26. If you can't find the listing I just put up you can go directly to Brady at bardybarlow@gmail.com and he'll bend over backwards for ya and give you all info that you request. Tell him that Scott and Ralph up in MA gave ya his name:)

I went to kubota dealer the other day. thay had a B-26 . I did not drive it. i just sat on it. as i was there to drive a L39 , the 26 is a heavy built little tractor. i dont think any AG tractor is built as tuff.

I went to test out a L39. and was beyond impressed. :)
i been considering stepping up to heavier machine. and this thing is strong
hydralics are unreal. i been compairing it to the JD 110. and right now the 39 is winning. and any of you that know me. has to know i am telling it like it is. cause i Bleed green. but after testing. and seeing everything. i am really impressed. i here the arguments about the L39 and the 110 . i have both original sale papers in my hand. that i just got from both dealers. and the L39 beats the 110 in everything. except weight and HP , and there is a explaination for that. bota has 39 , 110 has 43. JD dealer said hydro eats up 2 or 3 HP , gear eats none. so wala no real power difference. L39 is 7000 pounds
110 is 7600 pounds. i am told you fill the rears with rim gaurd. witch is about 400 a side , now you are at 7800 on the bota. so now the playing field is equal. the biggest argument is lifting. this is right from the JD specs in the book. on the 110 , Lift capacity to max height at bucket bottom 2042 pounds
Lift capacity to max height at pivot pins 2727.

now for L39
Lift capacity to max height at bucket bottom 2200
Lift capacity to max height at pivot pins 2767

Bota Wins....;)

and all numbers own the hoe are a little more on the L39 as well.
and thats straght from the factory sale brochures from kubota and JD.
So like i say. for me to be saying this being a JD guy , you know i am telling it like it is. i ant put a 110 through its paces yet. my dealer did not have one.
i did drive one about a year ago all of 10 mins. not enough to tell to much.
the loader arms on the 110 are very well made. better than the L39 , but the 39 's loader is plenty strong enough to hold what thay can pick up.
both are very durable. but the L39 has much nicer fetures. like the swivel set
and auto level , tilt steering. i always used HST. i did not think i would like the shuttle. but after a few min. it was very nice. and smooth.
I know its built tuff. after seeing what Mike put his through moveing all them rocks. if it can take that. it can take anything. he should be the poster child for Kubota...:D the machine impressed me quite a bit. and i am giveing it serious consideration.
Like i said , I bleed green. but after driveing and playing in the dirt
with it. and seeing all the fetures of the L39
My blood color may change...:)
I may wait til spring to make a decition. i heard a rumor.
the new teir 3 motor for the L39 may have a few more ponies in 2008.
but just a rumor. nothing confirmed.
anyone thinking about it. all i can say is go Drive one.

Chris....:)

If i got a L39 , I would haft to change my nic. to ChrisL39
hay that ant so bad...:D
