My 2007 2420 EHSS has been dropping into neutral during usage now regularly for the last month. I thought I had it fixed with a complete change of hydraulic fluid, change of hydraulic filter and cleaning of suction screen which I completed a week ago. While waiting for parts, I had blown out all connectors and plugs and sprayed with electrical contact cleaner, light dialectic before reconnecting. I had been brush hogging a pasture for about 30 minutes thinking I had solved issue and then it dropped into neutral again. This started happening a few months back. Sometimes I am able to get the tractor moving again by leaving tractor running, letting it sit in neutral selection, and then engaging shifter into gear with usage of inching pedal. Tractor almost always will move again by shutting off tractor, letting sit for ten minutes, start and move shift lever to forward/ reverse pick a gear speed and off she goes. Sometimes this will allow tractor to hold gear for less than a minute. For best result, forward, reverse will not work until I shut down tractor and let sit. Hydraulic fluid level is perfect, and fluid is as clean as it gets. Inching pedal spec is good. I have searched this site, googled and am just not sure where to continue here. I really do not believe it is fluid/flow related . Everything else works well on tractor, loader, pto, etc. Switches would either work or not,EHSS module? pentiometer?
