2005 JD 5103 hour meter

My hour meter has stopped working. All other gauges work. Is there a universal hour meter you would recommend and how would I go about hooking it up? Thanks

Yes the alternator is good.

Look for a 12v hour meter on Amazon or eBay. It will have two wire hook up, ground and 12v. Find a source (wire) from your key switch that is only "hot" in RUN for the 12v wire..

Check your fuses.....mybe there one where one shoulg not be in ?

How to....remove 1 fuse and switch tractor on....check dash.....if not replace that fuse and switch off .....remove another fuse and switch on again ...if nor replace fuse and switch off. Do that till you went thru all .

2005 5103 should be a mechanical hour meter in the tach no fuses. Otherwise a plain jane electrical hour meter would be your cheapest option.
