2001 TC30 runs hot

I have a 2001 TC30 i bought a couple years ago. 5 minutes after i start it and let it idle it gets hot. Radiator doesn't bubble when temp is high. I have been using it and tractor does fine, no loss of power or white smoke. However this has been bothering me so i have put in a new OEM temp sensor , checked thermostat...still have same issue!. I pulled off wire at sensor and grounded it and gauge goes to hot immediately. I am at a loss and don't know if gauge is bad like the guy i bought it from said it was. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as your issue, 'Running hot' compared to.....

If you are not losing coolant and you are basing that it is running hot on the original gauge, then I wouldn't worry about it. Listen to the former owner or replace the gauge, but right now, you have answered your own question with what diagnostics you have related.

As far as this group giving opinions on your problem, you need to have some numbers. What is the thermo temp rating, what is the coolant temp in F or C?
