Forget the Rivan as they went down the dumper.

I would take a small SUV for trips to the grocery and things like that. As long as it had a range of 150 miles and was cheap.

Kinda like a golf cart with airbags,.....and air conditioning,....and all the latest safety electronics,....and GPS. Well, might not be so cheap.

Can you even buy a stripped down model anymore?

In today's market there isn't a cheap vehicle that I know of.

Of course cheap is a relative term. What one person deems expensive can be cheap to another person.

I'd like a cheap put put 150 mile range to cruise around for $10k.

My vehicle price ceiling is $30k and has to last 10-20years.

I drove a free car for 4 years for almost 100k miles.

But I am not the demographic of any manufacturer

I think you are confusing Rivian with Lordstown.

Odd...

their stock is up and they beat there production guidance.
The R1S is also now being produced and delivered for the large SUV market.

You could be right as I don't follow the EV market as a rule.

Not to sound too morbid but when the day comes that I can no longer source gasoline or diesel fuel and can't run my internal combustion engines, I am taking my own life because there is nothing else this world has to offer me.
Then there will be room for one more ******* on the planet.

My passion in life is gas and diesel fueled internal combustion engines. I never grew up dreaming about driving the Hindenberg or my toaster.

Dang. That's pretty harsh.

If they all offered lifetime battery warranty, I'd consider it

That will NEVER happen because all batteries (Li-Ion or whatever), degrade over time and battery replacement is always expensive.

I don't find Paystar's comment to be harsh at all. I feel the same way.

It will be interesting to read comment on various sites as EV's age and the batteries need replacement and owners find out just what a replacement battery costs.

I think most the people buying them are the type to buy a new car every 4 or 5 years

My dad got a Nissan leaf at his dealer once. The battery needed replaced but it cost more than the car was worth. It was scrapped
