I "had" a 2000 silverado Z71 5.3L Auto. it had 39000 miles on it.. bought some new tires for it, not because the originals were worn out, but because there were some very small cracks in the sidewalls, (need a magifying glass to see them). about a month after the new tires ($600). My wife was driving it and someone ran a red light and hit her in the side.
It was a very nice truck, still looked like new, garaged, low miles, oh well. I have a nice new 2010 Silverado now.
