1983 Ford 445A power steering leak

My 445A, 4WD skip-loader is dripping from under the front, where from the Messick & New Holland diagrams show as a junction for L/R hoses to each hyd cylinder. The lines coming down from the power steering control valve(column) go through a rubber grommet. How do I access that junction? My Ford manual does not explain that.

The lines going through the grommet are two L shaped steel lines. One end is what you see, the other end screws into the T junction under the axle. To remove them, you would unscrew them from the joint pictured and the T junction underneath, unbolt them from the bracket via the jam nuts #20 under the frame and remove them. The grommet just isolates them from vibration and keeps them centered in the bolster hole.

I would clean up the lines to determine what is leaking though. You can remove the grommet to get a better look.

Thank you for the explanation. I will clean everything before starting on this for the coming weekend. I maintain 2 miles of unimproved road here in northern Arizona for our neighborhood.
