My tractor is a 1972 ford 5000 and has factory power assist with a engine mounted pump and last year about this time I put all new o-rings in the sector and valve body.

My question is when I let go of the wheel it feels like the power steering is trying to return to center but center is slightly pulling me left I have to hold tension on the wheel to the right to drive straight.

The reason I re sealed it all is because it was leaking out of the steering wheel.

The wheel is easy to turn to full lock in both positions but just wondering if I got something off when I read sealed it because I only used it a few times before I tore In to it shortly after I bought it but I don't remember it pulling.

By the way I need tie rods because the previous owner at some time welded washers over them to keep from popping out.

Any input is greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
Also I have car tires on the front and on the driver side I have a gap between the tire and the arm that the tie rod connects to but on the passenger side the tire rubs the arm once during a rotation could this indicate a bad wheel bearing or hub?

Thanks.

Were there any shims in the steering gear you may have put in the wrong place? I don't know anything about your tractor, but I rebuilt a Ford car power steering gear and I put some shims in the wrong place and it pulled to one side until I fixed it.

That is very possible I may have an extra on top of bottom of the valve body. Thanks I will look into that I thought I had them right but from what you say I may need to loosen it back up and check. Thanks!
