1963 Massey 65 sending unit

Can someone tell me where the water temperature sending would be located? I recently bought the tractor and the cable is broke from temp gauge but there is no other wire to trace to sending unit.

I don't know exactly for sure on a massey ferguson 65, but generally speaking a lot of different tractors over the years were located up around the thermostat housing. Another place to look if you have a block heater is follow the hoses. Many times it will be close in proximity to were the block heatear hose connect in to the block. Hope this helps.
