Hi everyone:)
I'm new to this forum. I live in the Sudety Mountains, in Lower Silesia in Poland.
A week ago I bought a tractor - Yanmar YM1810D. This is my first tractor and I have some questions about its construction. For starters - the clutch: I now replace the clutch and in the clutch housing I saw the other lever, below clutch lever . This lever is jointly controlled clutch-pedal - what is the mechanism?

It is called the inertia brake. I have an adjustment procedure for a Ym226 which is probably like your 1810d but that is a guess.

How does the inertia brake ? Can you write the adjustment procedure?

Here is a try. That is about as clear as the pictures are in my manual. Other than the picture (ref D) there is not anymore information about the inertia brake. Hope this helps.

Winston thank you for the scans:) Now I know how to properly adjust the inertia brake.
But I'm still curious about the function of this mechanism....

Me too. I believe as the name implies, it some way stops rotation on the power shift clutch shaft. :confused:

If anyone has the wiring diagram for my tractor, or similar?
Seems that everything works, but I have a few separated plugins, and I do not know what they are.

Thanks. This electrical system is the same as in my tractor.
My clutch sensor was disconnected and the cables from the starter were bridged. Before, I did not know what doing the clutch sensor.

Hi.
Today I have questions about the hydraulics on my tractor:
What is the lever No. 1?
What is No. 2? Looks like the point for the linkage.
What adjust bolt No. 3?
And what is the controller 4, on the last photo?

Mickey_Fx or Ernie are the guys to answer questions about 1,2 and 3. Pretty sure they have to do with draft control for a tiller. I believe #4 is your slow drop lever, depending on position your 3 point will lower slow or fast.

What year?. Do you mind telling us what you paid for your tractor??

I'm David from British Columbia, Canada; I just bought a YM 180 D; 1989 Model Year (A US model just the same as yours; with some US modifications); paid $4800 USD 1680 Hours I beleive; but it could be 680 or 2680 .

I Have a couple of posts related to wiring and am just getting familiar with how the tractor operates also. I have a number of electrical questions on another post in this section.

I have a paper operators manual that may answer your some of your questions; but some of the levers may be different.

My tractor is manufactured in 1984. 0613 hours (I wonder if really:) Cost about $ 4,390 USD (12,500 PLN).
The previous owner was a lumberjack and used it in a forest in central-western Poland, 100 km from Berlin.

YM1810D is more similar to YM226D. YM180D is smaller. YM1810D has 18 hp at PTO, and the engine is 22 hp, transmission -powershift. YM180D has a 18 hp engine and manual transmission.
But they are generally similar machines
Does in your operator manual is written at how many hours should change the oil in the engine? Or what is the maximum load 3point hitch?

Oil change every 100 hours. YM220/226 lift capacity at lower link end is 1168lbs, 24" behind lower link end is 816 lbs.

You good deal; mine came with a front end loader and a rear box scraper.

Yes yours has a larger engine at 22 hp; also I think you have different levers and options on your 3 point hitch and PTO speeds.

Maximum "rear axel load" according to the manual; on "the tire rating"; is 1907 lbs (865 kgs). I cant find a rating for the 3 point hitch.

The manual recommends engine oil change every 100 hours and engine oil filer every 200 hrs.

My guess is that at the lever should be some friction lock -limiting freedom of movement. I have an idea how to do it, but I'd like to see how it looks in the original version.

I have the same problem; note at the bottom of the lever; on the side theres a wing nut that has a rubber bushing on it I think it is a friction lock for the lever; but I could be wrong as my bushing is worn out and it wouln't hold the lever; I posted a new thread to get further answers ...
