MPA is pressure.
16 MPA = 2320 psi.

Pressure only comes when the flow is restricted.
Max flow comes when there is no restriction.
GPM is strictly a function of displacement X frequency (RPM)
The specifications are at odds.
Think of it, What is the "pressure" of the water as it flows out of your kitchen tap?
You might have an idea that the pressure drops when flow is unrestriced if you have ever taken a shower and had the toilet flushed ;-) The flow restriction in this example is the shower head, and water pipes.
In the same way, a tiny pump can develope large pressure values if the flow is very small. Dead end a positive displacement pump, and something breaks! That is why there are pressure relief valves built into most every pump.
Pressure and volume are difficult to relate. But when you do, WORK , i.e force through a distance, will become understandable, and with the added element of time, "Horsepower" becomes calculable.

gpm is a flow rate, and not a pressure (like MPa), so you can't equate the two. They are two different things.
You can relate flow rate (gpm) to pressure (psi or MPa) by knowing the operating characteristics of the system, but that has to be measured or tested. As an example, pumps will have operating curves that show gpm as a function of pressure and/or head loss.

A pump will use a certain amount of HP, so one has to select a pump with the characteristics he desires.
Mas rpm, pressure rating, speed of pump, cu in displacement, shaft size, port size and type. .
Cu in and and speed of pump will determine the GPM.

The local store is right, the pumps should be spec'd in GPM. If you are looking for anything that is 16MPa I'd say you are looking for the relief valve on the pump.
Where, may I ask, did you get this 16MPa specification from that you are trying to match? Perhaps knowing more about your situation will give us a better understanding of how we can help.

Some pumps don't list GPM, rather displacement. Usually in cubic inches per revolution. Flow is going to be determined by the displacement and how many rooms the pump turn.

Good morning Acadian, the pump flow is 14ml/rev (14ml = .0036984 US gallon or .003079 IMP gallon)) and is rated for 2000 RPM so your pump is 7.39 usg or 6.15 IMP gallon at a max of 2000 RPM at a max PSI of 2320.. what shop is that in NB... Jim

Thank you guys... the shop in NB is McKiel Mechanical Ltd you guys could not imagine the talent my uncle has... he an big mud bog and the only good machine on the road are Jeep's this guy is unbelievable he will make his on treads on his tires make custom rads but he is finally retiring on Dec and his son just as talented purchase the company and have a feeling he will bring the shop to a hole new level of services. the prime services was drive shaft and custom parts for the mine that closed down a few years ago. I have to talk to my cousin to take a good look at this site and could see great opportunity and helping folks on these site " win win for all "
