OK, so I drove to see my nearest dealer today (230 miles) and his recommendation was for the 1510D based on what my size constraints are and what I need to do.

Stan Hoye seemed to be knowledgable about Yanmars and an honorable man. I presume others on this board have had the same experience.

Before I actually buy a tractor, are there any mechanical issues I need to look for when inspecting the tractor? Any advice is appreciated.

If your buying from Stan Hoye then ask him every conceivable question you can think of. Even ones that may seem ridiculous but you'd like answers for. They are good, honest people and I have talked with them on many occasions. You'll end up with a good tractor, good support and great people.

I finally made the decision to purchase a 1510D from Stan Hoye. Hopefully, we can get the deal done this week. Before I take delivery, I guess I need to do an inspection of any potential problem areas on the tractor. I would appreciate any input on any specific areas I should look at, what to look for and any special tools I will need to take with me when I pick up the tractor.
