Relax my friend, the gophers are there to stay! You have the perfect soil and temperature. I know it is the same as mine. Every reply with a solution to you problem will work. However, it's only temporary. They always return and you ending spending way too much all the remedies for only short term results. You will end up having to repeat remedies every couple of years. You can raise successfully raise hay, you just have to find a hay man that will cut and bale the hay on the field as is. They will charge a little more for the inconvenience of the bumpy ride and the extra blades that they have to use. My hay field is 40 acres in southern Brazos county Texas and I now can make money off my hay field just let it be don't try to beat nature it always ends up on losing money.

After I rid myself of the first batch of gophers using the Cinch traps I did have a few return over the next year. Didn't take long to get rid of those.

But I've been gopher free for over 3 years now.
