12v socket on tag

I have a 2006 Honda trx 250 ex sporttrax is it possible and how hard is it to hook up a twelve volt socket to my ATV so I can run a twelve volt compressor for whence and my friends go trail.riding

Red to pos terminal, black to frame.

I would run an inline fuse on the red as close to the battery as possible. I would match the size of the wires to the wires that come with the 12volt device or the same size that comes with the in-line fuze.

Or, you could find a "key on" or "key on, engine on" wire coming out of the steering column and tie into one of them. I'd use a fuse as close to the power source as possible no matter how I hooked it up.

Get a good one; outdoor/water resistant.

Nah,

I run a compressor from a factory outlet on my ATV, never had any problems. Its good for reinflating tires at 2 to 10 PSI.

It wouldn't run the smallest inverter tho, not enough amps.
