yeah, nothing really exciting, but I really wanted a 12v outlet somewhere on my tractor.. wired it to constant power, with a fuse.

Now I can run my cool rotating light when I am trundling along the road at some slow speed...

I did a similar thing on both the TC24 and the B2910 It is a useful thing to have sometimes. Mine are both mounted in the rear by the base of my ROPS so I ran the power through a switch simply because it was inconvenient to pull the plug to shut off whatever it is that I am powering. I've used it many times with a 12 volt sprayer and the switch really comes in handy for that application.

Kris / Bob handy setup. Thinking of doing the same with my tractor.

Kris: Not to hijack the thread but......I noticed the chains. I would like to get a set for myself. Who manufactured yours and do they have a web site. As well did you have any problems with clearance?

Kris when your not out cruising the open road you can use that plug for your electric shaver. Get a quick shave to go. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The chains are OFA Hakkis.. My local dealer got them. They are simply put, amazing. Very heavy, very tough. I managed to bend one of the links, but otherwise, I LOVE them. Prepare to get a workout putting them on, but otherwise, they work great in snow/ice/mud. If you Google it, you won't find a lot of hits.. But, they are great chains.

Heh, this winter, i'd rather hook up some sort of heated seat/snowmobile suit... Hey, that's not a bad idea! :-D

I could use one of those myself! My 455 fills behind the seat like the NH does, but the Deere CUT's fill thru the hood. I HATE filling with cans and plan to add a storage tank/pump, but some times it is necessary to fill in the field. I've got a smal electric pump that I plan to use rather than spilling all over, and an outlet like this would work well!

Kris, that's a very nicely made 12V socket. I especially like the spring-loaded weather cover. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I can see the brand is Casco, but where did you get it?

I did a search for OFA Hakks and only got the post John did from TBN on the chains.

There are two different Casco sockets, one like Kris's and the other is attached with 4 small screws. I would like to know where Kris got his also. I bought mine at Wal-Mart. They have both styles at some stores.
