1023E mower noise

I just bought a 1023E with a 53" mower and was delivered Sat. It was also taken back to the shop the same day because the PTO didn't work.
I need to know ASAP about the mower noise. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being as a need for ear plugs. how loud is the mower on other owners
tractors.

The mower deck is loud, you need ear plugs. But all mower decks are loud and usually louder than the motor powering them.

If I am going to mow for more than 10 minutes, I always wear some type of ear protection.

This mower deck is so loud you have to shout to talk . It sounds like dry bearings and has a squeel

If it had to go back to the shop on delivery because the PTO didn't work, how could you judge the amount of noise it made? I am thinking what ever the problem was, the repair will also solve any excessive noise.
