2007 Kioti CK20
I have a Kioti CK 20 with one set of rear remotes (from what I understand it can only support one). Have hydraulic thumb on bucket and backhoe attachment and hydraulic cylinder on 3 point hitch. I can only use one attachment a time but would like to keep from getting off tractor and unhooking hoses from one to the other. Is there any valve or diverter that can be used on this tractor? Don't have much room behind seat because of fuel tank and backhoe seat. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for your reply JJ. I understand what you are saying even though I'm not very inclinded in how the system works. Backhoe has two hoses that I hook up to rear remote, then move A-B selector on platform to A for backhoe operation. When hoe is unhooked, hook thumb to remote and use same selector, A is open, B closes on bucket. Same with 3 point top link cylinder (just moves in and out).

Is the "thumb" on the loader? We usually call that a grapple. I run my grapple from this diverter valve on the bucket dump circuit. Solenoid Valves 220-934 Detailed Information
The valve doesn't look like the picture but it just needs a switch to mount on your joystick and some 45 degree adapters to attach the hoses to the valves. (90 degree adapters will not thread in because the ports are close together) When you push the button the dump valve operates the grapple. This manual shows how it's done: http://www.hydraulicstore.com/images/pdf/Trausch_Dynamics_Selectplus.pdf

Set up a power beyond loop for the BH. The BH valve may need an adapter to separate the power beyond flow from the return flow. The power beyond loop is really a set of quick-connects in the hydraulic line that supplies the 3ph valve. With the engine off you divert that flow through the backhoe valve. You also need to add a quick-connect to the tank return for the BH valve return flow.

Run the hydraulic top link (or side link) from the rear remote.

Pics - 1. Bailey selector valve, 2. joystick button from NAPA installed in my existing handle, 3. grapple, 4. where I split my line for power beyond to the BH, 5. return quick-connect and low pressure filter.

Thumb to me goes on a BH, and grapple goes on the bucket.

In my opinion, you need a diverter/selector valve up front for the grapple.

If your remote valve has PB, and that goes to the 3pt, you have everything you need.

Since you said you plug in two hoses to the remote for the BH, perhaps you don't have PB on the BH valve.

Where is the OUT port from the remote valve going.

Just about every hyd valve has an out port, with a pressure limit of 300 to about 500 psi, and this should go to tank/return hose. If you use this kind of valve in the middle of a series circuit, you run the risk of providing to much back pressure to the valve.

Can you describe the path of the pump fluid through all valves to the tank.

Now I understand why you have to shift hoses. With a grapple, a diverter valve is plumbed into the curl circuit and the switch switches between the grapple and curl on the bucket.

If your FEL valve has PB, the I would plumb the grapple into the curl circuit.

I would then obtain a one or two spool valve with PB and install it as the remote valve , for things like T-N-T, BH, log splitter, or anything else that you might use.

The way you would plumb the remote would be from FEL-PB out to the input of the remote valve, and the PB from the remote to 3 pt . The out hose from the remote would go to tank. Install QD in the work ports of the remote valve.

To operate BH, you bungee one of the spools to provide fluid to the BH.

Some pictures to look at to get a better idea of what I should/could do. Grapple/thumb is attached to bucket, it is plumbed from rear remotes. I would like to run something from rear remotes if possible to use backhoe/hydraulic top link and grapple/thumb (one at a time) which I connect into same rear remote that grapple/thumb is currently hooked to.

Thanks!!

Eddie

Purchasing and installing a remote valve with PB would be ideal.

Redo the diverter valve, and install the remote valve.

Once the BH is plugged in, there will be no switching hoses and all cyl functions. will work

Is that the same thing as a mulitplier?

I am not sure what you mean.

I would use the diverter/selector valve for the grapple using the curl hyd's. A for curl, and B for grapple.

You probably need remotes at the back for many functions, and the remote valve will let you do that.

You could install as many spools as you like, maybe one spool with detent for the BH or log splitter, or motor spool for a hyd motor.
