    Ford 881 Throttle Linkage

I'm the second owner of a 1959 Ford 881....it's been in the family for approximately 35 years. Eighteen months ago I disassembled it down to the bones and rebuilt or replaced the suspension, cylinder head, brakes, alternator, carburetor, starter, etc. I've added all-new rubber and everything...

Considering 6V to 12V conversion on Ford 881. What should I expect?

I'm considering converting my 881 from a 6V positive ground to a 12V negative ground system. I've never done anything like this and was hoping for some tribal knowledge of what parts would need to be replaced, how long it would take someone doing this the first time, and what I should expect to...

Ford 881 leaking milky fluid from under steering column

My Ford 881 just had the engine completely overhauled last spring. Recently, after having not used it for a few months, I started it up to find a milky pinkish/white fluid leaking from under the steering column at a tube fitting. See pics. I'm guessing this is water mixed with something...

Ford 881 starts up, abruptly dies.

I recently replaced the fuel shutoff valve on my Ford 881. Tractor was running good before, but I noticed the valve was leaking so I replaced it and the leak is stopped. However, after running ok for a couple days after that, my tractor is starting up fine, but abruptly dies anywhere for 5...

Hood Removal, Fuel Tank Cleanout on Ford 881

So I'm finally getting a chance to do some work on my tractor. Putting the front loader on hold for now - Well, more like I have to because right now I'm not getting anything done when it only runs a few minutes at a time before dying. Essentially, it fires up like a champ, warms up, I can drive...

    Will a FEL on a Ford 3000 fit on a Ford 881?

There's a local guy with a broke down Ford 3000 with an FEL selling his. I'm hoping I might convince him to sell his loader separately.

help needed for aico hydraulics on a ford 881

I don't know much about tractors but have an 881 to which I just attached a 1 arm loader. I can see that one of the levers on the AICO 2 spool hydraulic unit is broken where it attaches to the ram - comparing with the other handle it looks like a threaded fitting that has broken off that looks...

    Ford 881

Silly question... but I can't easily remove the (broken and taped) steering wheel to replace with a new one. I've lubricated and tapped the underside with a hammer, but I don't want to force it and cause any damage. I don't see any set screw or spline that needs to be removed. Any suggestions?
