Does it "chatter" under load? If so, your hst's probably going south. That's what happened to mine.

I'm guessing the shock valve is within the HST???

I'd insist they re-do it correctly or refund your money. If you paid by credit card, you can stop the payment.

It has 480 hours and the fluid was changed at 3xx with a Kubota filter and their SUDT2. All fluid changes have been done per factory recommendations.

I would check your control valve. Check your WSM for the procedure.

Just pulled the HST out of my BX1500; took me about 8 hours but I really took my time and took lots of pics to make sure it all goes back together smoothly, which I think will go quickly. I purchased a new HST, o rings, and some filters for around $1,300.

So, I finally started the teardown of my tractor so I can hopefully fix my HST. I think think the forward/reverse high pressure relief valves have become loose in their bores. Hopefully this is the problem. I'll report back soon.:thumbsup:

Rob, I would highly suggest getting the WSM and testing your charge/forward/reverse pressures. Check out MattJ's post as he spells out the testing process very clearly.

My charge pressure is per spec in my wsm, which is just over 2800. As I said before, I did not test the reverse pressure relief valve, only the forward but the reverse pretty much pops out with the slightest bit of rear pedal pressure. I am like you and like to know exactly what's going on and...

Is that the total repair bill? If so, I'd get it fixed and keep it for sure. Also, based on my review of the WSM, it looks like you don't have to pull the HST out to replace the forward high pressure relief valve, am I correct??

Yes I do have normal pedal resistance but it is not at all noticeably different than before I had the shuddering issue. Did your pedal increase/decrease when you noticed the shuddering?
