My 2016 ED that I bought new now has over 151,000 miles. Trouble free, only regular maintenance. I change the oil at 8,000 miles, fuel and air filter every other oil change. Agree that the body and interior have held up great. I have a gravel driveway so over half a mile of gravel every time I...

Roof and sides will all be metal, interior will be rough cut, at least within the stalls. It’s a horse barn so it’s not likely to ever get a finished interior. 12’ was my original plan but figured I would get the extra foot at minimum extra cost. Pretty much the same amount of work either way...

16’ posts, 3’ in the ground, and just decided to use as much of the post as possible. Also, figure I can come down a couple feet and build sheds off each side and still have good usable height in the sheds. That was my thinking anyway.

Started building a barn a couple weeks ago. Set the trusses today. Was able to rig up a boom pole on my tractor bucket to make setting a bit easier. 13’ walls so still took a little lifting to get them in place, but worked out very well. Hopefully get it under roof in the next week or so.

Generator is natural gas. We have had a few over night outages since it was installed and not having to worry about dragging and fueling the portable generator has been great. Made good progress this weekend, but it’s never enough. Kitchen lights functional, and I believe provide good coverage. There will also be two pendant type lights over the island. Cans are on a dimmer if full power is t needed/wanted. Same with living room can lights. There will also be...

I’ve lacked in posts lately, it’s just been super busy. We have worked non stop, but it’s seems like we never get enough done. Electrical is about 90% done, just working out some lighting. We want plenty of lighting in the vaulted ceilings but I’m having trouble with layout and figuring how...

Slow progress but we are getting there. Wiring is about 85% done. AEP showed up unexpectedly on Tuesday and hooked power up. They told me the day before that it would be the end of January, so that was a nice surprise. I hooked a circuit up in the panel and installed a recept so I don’t need...

I managed to get the 3 loads of gravel mostly spread. I’ll need another load of 57 to cover the larger gravel, but will let things settle in for a couple weeks before doing that. I did use 57 already where the driveways meet because I needed some gravel there on the main drive to repair where...

The Zetor is probably the best purchase I’ve ever made. I’d have a hard time getting by without it. It’s a fairly simple design and is a heavy workhorse. It had 312 hours on it when I got it 10 years ago. It’s now got around 850, and has been very reliable. Only issues have been minor, and...
