I had a Walmart battery last an unbelievable 18 years in my Ford 8N, when it finally failed I replaced it with another Walmart battery and so far it’s also working fine.

Sure sounds like bad battery , I think NAPA should replace one or both of them under warranty. I also recommend buying a charger equipped with a desulfurization mode and hook it up to every battery you own a couple times per year

Oh sure it’s broke in at 100,000 miles but usually many many more trouble free miles left. Lots of folks wouldn’t even consider buying a motorcycle with 100,000 miles on it, I probably wouldn’t ether because there are plenty of low miles ones available reasonably priced.

The small stuff mostly gets turned into mulch with lawn mower. The bigger stuff I pick up manually and put it on brush pile, it’s kind of an annoying job, thankfully I don’t have anywhere near as much to pickup as you do.

I removed the factory slide out ball hooks and shipped them to a board member out in California to have the Euro hooks welded on, Fit Rite Hydraulics is the name of the outfit. The welding and shipping plus the Euro hooks with one set of category 2 balls and 2 sets of category 1 balls wound up...

I have euro hooks on the 2 lower points they were very expensive but also very helpful. The top link is hydraulic so it’s fairly easy to hook and unhook. I usually have to get on and off the tractor a couple times in order to get hooked up. Quick hitch doesn’t work worth crap for my PTO...

They ain’t forcing anything, even Honda has been surprised by how many folks choose the 7 speed DCT over the manual 6 speed transmission . I have taken test rides on both and highly prefer the DCT. The 2002 Goldwing I bought brandnew currently shows 613,000 miles on odometer.

I’ve seen plenty of rims ruined by rust even without any kind of fluid installed in the tire.

I believe the rough terrain and mud you mentioned pretty much rules out a zero turn mower for you. Probably better off looking for a nice used tractor type mower until your lawn gets repaired.

Mine probably wouldn’t hit but I pull the pin and slide the drawbar forward so there’s nothing to worry about, takes about 10 seconds to do on my tractor.

I believe it’s normal if your tractor has hydrostatic drive, sounds very similar to the way mine works.

Around here some of the lines they claimed to have been buried in swamps are just laying on top of the ground, sometimes 50 feet or more away from where they were supposedly buried, they just took the easiest route.

Believe it or not Bad Boy actually had an add on tv during the Super Bowl Sunday. Supposedly a 30 second add costs $7 million . I have never operated any Bad Boy equipment but it sure seems like nice well built stuff.

I recommend going through the trouble to completely remove the blades and sharpen them properly, clean and lube everything properly before putting it back together, in the long run it will all be very worthwhile .

Never seen one of their land graders but if I was buying a new zero turn mower I would definitely consider Bad Boy, they seem like very nice mowers and seem like they might be easier to work on than some of the other brands

After snow season is over I Coat the wear areas with used motor oil, and also oil the chain and sprockets.

Newbie you did good ! you had different idea and tried it, it didn’t work out very well and your perfectly willing to admit it, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some folks would claim it worked great even if it didn’t.

I usually store them upright but have stored on there side a few times and they have never leaked a drop. The nozzle has worked excellent for everything I own, lawnmowers, chainsaws, ATV, tractors. I have plenty of cans now but if I ever need more they will most likely be No-Spill

Hopefully Everything Attachments problems get solved and they can get back to advertising on TBN soon, even though I never bought anything from them I did learn quite a bit from them and believe they build excellent products.

I am also a very happy Bison 9 foot blade owner, it supposedly weighs 1400 pounds, the curved blade also makes it work excellent for back blading for leveling dirt or plowing snow.

Been using 50-1 since the 70’s in every 2 stroke engine I ever owned. Seems kind of amusing when folks claim that the manufacturer recommendation's of 50-1 isn’t enough and will ruin the engine.

If the blade face doesn’t have a significant curve built in it won’t be as strong and won’t dig in well or cause the snow-gravel or whatever your trying to move to roll. Curved face blades are more expensive but usually work much better than straight faced blades.

Would be helpful to see a few more pictures. Looks like the big bolt in the picture might be used to slide the blade to the right or left, are you sure it’s also supposed to be used for tilting the blade ?

How thick of steel can you comfortably weld with those Harbor Freight welders ?

Around here they often sell 3 different grades of bar oil winter blend summer blend year round blend i usually buy year round blend was cutting one cold winter day with a guy using summer blend and it poured out of the bottle VERY slowly.

On perfectly flat ground the heel of my bucket won’t even touch the ground, I usually have to tilt the bucket in order to back drag . But because of reading about bending cylinders on this forum I have been a little extra careful about it and so far not caused any damage

I don’t think you ever actually said what carrier you are currently using but since You discussed it with your next door neighbor and he recommended you switch to AT&T because he has excellent coverage at his house to me that sounds like probably your best option.

Sounds like the dealer and Kubota finally have the problem figured out and your tractor will soon be running properly. If they don’t get it fixed pretty soon I would ask for a different tractor or a 100% refund.

I never bought anything from them Everything Attachments but they did seem to have a very good reputation, hopefully everything gets worked out and they can move into the new factory soon.

I’ve only seen 1 TYM tractor in real life but I was impressed, reading the spec sheet they seem to have much higher capacity hydraulic pump than most other brands.

I usually carry a 10 foot chain laying on the cab floor, works pretty well for me, on the rare occasion that I need more chain I carry it in the FEL bucket along with a chainsaw or whatever other tools might be needed.

If the slopes are as steep as you described forget about zero turn mowers unless you buy one equipped with tracks because most regular zero turns will not be able to climb those slopes.

Sounds like dangerous area to mow, i Recommend not attempting the first time when the grass is wet, you definitely should have four wheel drive.

What brand of blower do you have ? Did you have to drill the holes for the Edge Tamers yourself ? I have a 72 inch MK Martin Meteor blower and in my opinion the shoes that it came with are very lousy for use on gravel so I’m interested in trying something similar to what you did.

TYM definitely seems to be doing well

If your tractor is equipped with Hydrostatic transmission so you can easily control your speed either size blower should work. I would recommend a blower that’s slightly wider than the wheels on your tractor.

I have been using premixed Peak Global Lifetime in everything I own for about the last 20 years, the original water pump in my Honda Goldwing lasted 450,000 miles. I highly recommend going with premixed pretty much any reputable brand because it eliminates mistakes and doesn’t cost much more.

Where do you live, how much snow do you get ? Lots of other brand snowblowers besides LS. Is your tractor equipped with a front PTO for running a front mount snowblower ? Maybe a rear mount blower would be a better choice then you wouldn’t have to remove the loader.

Installed Euro hooks on my LS last year, they make hooking and unhooking much easier and safer.

Looks like it has been very well taken care of, with only 7,000 hours on as long as there isn’t something seriously wrong with it should work fine for your operation for many more years.

It is surprising there are not a lot more good aftermarket toolboxes available for tractors, years ago they were pretty easy to find and much better quality.

A little spray lube definitely helps especially during cold winter months. I usually open the hood to make sure there isn’t any snow sitting near the latching mechanism before putting the tractor away after plowing my yard.

Pretty difficult question to answer without more information. I would recommend contacting a couple different contractors in the area that do that type of work and see what they recommend. In the long run a good driveway is usually very well worth the investment.

Straw works excellent, I’ve also had very good results using lawn clippings but it’s extra work.

Kyle the front tire does have a few hundred miles more than the rear tire, it will be interesting to see what they both look like later in life.

I used to own a John Deere mower and in my case it was very true aftermarket belts didn’t last as long as the much more expensive John Deere belts and I did try a few different brands.

I highly recommend the Dunlop TrailMax Mission tires, they are 50-50 tires that wear very well. Front and rear set for my Super Tenere cost $386 last January. Many riders are claiming to be getting over 20,000 miles per set. Mine currently have over 12,000 miles and here are a couple pictures.

2 of the bikes got washed at the North Pole, mine didn’t get washed until a few days after I got home. Like to keep my stuff reasonably clean but you will never see me laying on the ground scrubbing and polishing the bottom of any motorcycle I own.

I also used the vacuum trick and it worked very well for me. Asked my dealer about it before trying it, he said he normally doesn’t recommend that method anymore because some guy didn’t follow his instructions properly and ruined his wife’s vacuum cleaner doing it and the wife wasn’t happy.

Couple pictures of a set of Dunlop TrailMax Mission tires with 10,400 miles on them after a recent ride to Prudehoe Bay Alaska and back. I have never had any motorcycle tires last this well before, looks like they might be good for another 10,000 miles.

I am surprised by how some folks seem to worry about possibly getting a rusty PTO shaft, the only rusty PTO shafts I’ve ever seen were on tractors that hadn’t been used in many years and sat outside

They have a bunch of different styles, the 20 wrench kit I bought have to be flipped over to change direction but I think they also have some with the little flip lever.

I’m glad you already own plenty of wrenches, I believe most of the wrenches sold at Menards are made by the same outfit that makes the Harbor Frieght tools. The only real reason I posted about this particular kit was because $90 seems like an almost unbelievable price for the 20 piece kit.

Sounds like it should be something pretty cheap and easy to fix once you figure out exactly what has gone wrong.

Have never shut mine down for regen, if and when a regen does start I have always been able to find some work to do until it’s finished, so far with only 300 hours it usually regens pretty close to the time it’s supposed to, i usually write down when it regenerates So I have a record to look at...

6 volts doesn’t really mean much you need to put a load test on the battery and then decide what to do next.

My tractor came from the dealer with a custom built skid plate, glad it’s there but when working in brush there is no guarantee something won’t manage to get in where it’s not supposed to and cause problems.

New set of blades for my Kubota ZD21 is about $60 , currently have 2 sets but one set is about worn out from sharpening so I’m probably going to buy another new set but might try mulching blades next time. I’m surprised you were not able to properly sharpen your chainsaw with a hand file.

Tried the flap grinder it’s ok, bench grinder is ok but very easy to mess up the angle, hand file works pretty well and not much chance of messing things up, next year I might try taking the blades to local dealer and see what happens. Once a year sharpening is about all I usually need to do...

yes being able to turn off the hot water can make a major difference with the air conditioning ! Years ago when I was driving semi trucks over the road I often turned the hot water off in hot weather.

Hopefully you will be able to buy the correct bushing from your local dealer, if not you might be able to remove the bushing from the other side and have a machine shop make you a new replacement bushing.

Have you checked the hose connections ? I suspect one of the hoses might not be properly connected, it’s happened to me a few times.

I would definitely choose the 357 but either one should work pretty nicely. The extra 2 gallons of fuel would be nice and handy.

I believe your not supposed to turn on the auto throttle until after the engine has been running and charging.

My experience If it’s only in there for a year it rinses off with a garden hose pretty easy, longer than a year it takes some pretty serious scrubbing to remove it all from the inside of the rim, I bet after 3 years it would be very difficult if not impossible to remove.

Had a concrete slab poured in front of my 20 year old shop 3 years ago, if I had realized how helpful the slab would be I would have spent the money to have it poured when I built the shop.
