Exmark zero turn mower seat

When I bought my Exmark mower I went with the standard non adjustable spring loaded seat. After using for a season I thought the spring loaded seat would be better so I bought one and installed it. My question now is, since I weigh 172 lbs. what setting on the adjustable scale should I use? A setting higher then my weigh or lower? I have tried both ways and it does not seem to make a difference. Anyone with this type seat have any experience? Thanks for any info.

I may not have that exact same seat, and mine doesn't have a scale, but I just dial to what feels right. We're about the same weight and I will bottom out easily with my 50 pound dog in my lap.

I'm gonna say just dial to what works for you depending on how rough your terrain is, how aggressively you operate, and how many cheeseburgers you had for lunch.

I have dialed it down to lower than my weight and it bottoms out and when it is set higher it seems to not give any so the feeling is the same. Since the property is flat I go pretty fast unless the grass is extremely high. There are some ruts from where I drive my tractor that I have cut over. I traded my old exmark for this newer one. The older one would flex and had air filled front wheels so it did not seem as rough. The new one has solid front wheels and is so stiff it will beat me to death. Might try wearing the seat belt and see if I'm held down to the seat lessens the shock. Thanks for the reply

Trade it in for new Exmark mower with Air Ride seat.
