    Rear wheel spacers

The Massey lug bolts have a taper. You have to buy bolts to install the spacers. The bolts you buy have a smaller head, but they are the same shank size. Then the spacers come with their own studs and nuts for mounting the wheels to the spacers. No issues. Real simple install.

Massey Ferguson Sub Compact GC1723M Hydraulic noise

Mine is brand new 2021 MF GC1725M and it is sometimes is louder than other times. I would have thought the newer ones would have this resolved.

    Bang for Buck - GC1723/25

Yeah, that's about what I thought. I think I would have rather had the extra $1500 to spend on implements. No regrets... Just saying. Because there's always something. Maybe if I went the e route, I might have later wished I had the extra hp.

So far I'm really liking it. One little thing they should add that wouldn't be too difficult is a little light on the dash when you are in 4wd. That way you don't forget you have it in 4wd when you're driving on pavement.

When the guy dropped it off, he went over stuff on it. I asked if gas station pump diesel was okay, or did he recommend something else. He said he didn't recommend using the diesel that people pump into their trucks because it often has a percentage of bio-diesel in it - kinda like ethanol in...

No, mine does not have a backhoe. That would be the 1725MB. Mine is the GC1725M, no B. The 1723E is the economy version. GC1723EB is economy version with a backhoe.

    Bang for Buck - GC1723/25

My tractor came yesterday. I went with the GC1725M because it was the next one coming into the dealership. I'm not sure how much real gain there is in relation to cost to go with the E vs the M. For what few things you get with the M over the E, I'm thinking the E is the bigger bang for the buck.

Which Three Point Hitch Carry All is The Best?

Yep, still an old thread, but on topic. I was shopping around and it appears everyone around me wants a lot more for these than they wanted only a few years back. XJ2025H ballast

Yeah, I'm thinking the same. It doesn't make sense to put a block of weight back there that hasn't any other use. A carry all can be used for so much more. And when you need more weight, just put it on the carry all.

    Correct my thinking...

That's a good perspective. If I bought new for 20,000, sold in 2 years for 10,000. Then 10,000 divided by 24 months = 416 per month. If I only use the tractor 2 times a month (which I'm going to easily do), I'd say it'll still be worth it. Home depot wants over $300 to rent a BX one day.

Shopping for a used tractor can be a struggle. There was a Kubota at a dealership down near Salem that was advertised for $8995. I called to get some more info. Bang for Buck - GC1723/25

And between the 1723E and 1725M, you'd really be getting a lot of bang for the buck. I went with the 1725M because that was the next one they said was coming into their lot. They said they are waiting weeks and perhaps months for orders. Otherwise, I would have went with the E.
