3-Point Hitch Ford 3910 Lower Lift Arms

I finally got back on this project. I was almost to the point of just replacing the ends with new weld on ones but I couldn't find any that were less than 1 3/4" wide. The 1 3/8" wide ball ends in the lower arms I ordered from Yesterdays work well enough. There is about an 1/8" that isn't...

Ford Tractor photo thread, lets start one!

Here is my contribution to this thread. My late 1989 3910 with 1870 hours. Here is a before and after picture. I have spent a lot of time fixing leaks and various worn parts but from the day I bought it it was a good working tractor. Why does that second pic make that bush hog so massive behind...

3-Point Hitch  Ford 3910 Lower Lift Arms

I have a late 1989 or early 1990 Ford 3910 and am searching for replacement lower lift arms. The aftermarket is loaded with every lift arm imaginable for these old school tractors but Ford seems to have pulled a fast one on us or as I call it, they "John Deered" us. The arms on the tractor right...

Probably just still burning a little off. Look at your exhaust manifold and you'll find evidence that it was once painted. You should see the burnt paint.

How many hours you got on it? Is normal to smell the engine paint for a while when they're new. I still get a hint of it on mine at 150 hours.

I run a 12' batwing cutter and it's all my 4710 wants to do to start the thing spinning. You'll never convince me these tractors have a soft start feature on the PTO or that it works if it does have one. My coolant Temps never get over the last hash mark to the left of half way on the dash...

GC2300 lift arms moving - leaver is middle position.

The Belarus 250AS had a double acting cylinder on the 3 point as well. Weirdest tractor I've ever run but that was handy on the 3 point for sure!

Show us your 4700 series tractors.

We seem to have a pretty decent following of 4700 series owners over here so surely there's some good pictures you all have. I see them in the various posts but I have to scroll through so much to find them. Post them if you want to, if not then don't. I have really taken a liking to this thing...

There's a Facebook page for 4700 global series tractors. I can't link to it using my phone due to my poor past life choices where I'm not supposed to have a Facebook account. Just search for it and it should come up. They will have to grant you access after you request it because it's...

Guys, I read the Facebook post about cleaning the grounds on the global series tractors and I can't recall the guys name but he is correct in urging us to do it. My cab ground at the back was loose and the bolt threads stripped and where that same cable connects to the chassis at the axle...

I have mowed a couple days that it's been 98+ and have yet to turn my blower fan higher than 2. If the sun is shining in its definitely warmer in the cab but it's more than comfortable to me. I did cut off the factory heater valve and cap off the outside air intake so mine runs in full...

Kubota B2630 flipped on the left side

Probably had some oil in the exhaust and during the hill climb it got hot enough to start smoking it off. Same thing happens after we replace a turbo that pumped oil into the exhaust, the more load you put on it the more it smokes until all the oil is gone.

Chain stabilizers were an option for a while on the Chinese built tractors I know. May be worth the $120 to switch to them.

    4707 3 Point adjustment issues

I've run plenty of implements without sway bars and it won't hurt a thing as long as your arms aren't getting into the tires but I sure don't care for the flopping back and forth that goes on with them disconnected, especially with a bush hog.

I don't know but it's an awesome pin! I'd love to get a bunch of them.

    4707 3 Point adjustment issues

The telescopic sway bars do slide in and out with the pins removed but they won't allow enough movement to get below 32" at the ball ends. It's a true cat 2 system and by those standards the tractor is exact. This isn't one of those 50hp or 60hp three points that's marketed as cat 1/2. Those...

    4707 3 Point adjustment issues

Here's some measurements off my 4710 if it helps. When you disconnect the sway bars you can bring the arms in to 20 inches center to center so it's not the draw bar bracket stopping it, it's the sway bars limiting them. Looks like the implement manufacture would have made two different...

There's a guy on YouTube that runs that same cutter on a 4707. I use cat 1 and cat 2 implements on my 4710 with no issues. I have the same draw bar bracket and everything just like yours. Not sure what could be causing the issues.

I do the same thing. You wouldn't think a 88 PTO hp tractor would have any issues starting a PTO implement that is rated for a maximum of 75 PTO hp but it almost hurts me when I flip that switch and feel it jerk the tractor like it does. I miss the old Massey's two stage clutches for this very...

That is a good question. If memory serves the few valves and valve components I've purchased from them have been painted black in years past.
  27. S

    4707

Husco is the brand of the valves that Massey Ferguson uses on these tractors. They also use that brand on the 2600H series as well. That picture is a tractor that most likely had a factory installed 3rd remote so it was painted at the factory.

15 minutes and you've already got it stuck??? I'm glad I'm not the only one with that kind of luck. I have two rules chiseled in stone on my property, we don't bury anything and we don't let grass or trees grow up on fence lines. That's the most aggravating thing in the world, stuck from...

    Sales tax question

Yes, you owe the tax. It's your responsibility to report your purchase and pay the appropriate sales tax in your home state. You may want to see if your state offers any tax programs for farm equipment that you may qualify for. This could reduce the tax rate drastically if so.

John deere 5045e or massey ferguson 2604h

All of what you just said about the Massey Ferguson 2600H series pretty much sums it up. Hey 4707 Owners

I have a 4710 but only 50 hours but so far so good. It's primary duty is pulling a 12' batwing and light loader work in the winter months. You can not feather the clutch in the lower 3 gears, it's either engaged or disengaged but that's my only gripe. Everything else is to notch on this...

John deere 5045e or massey ferguson 2604h

Having owned a 2606H Massey, if those were my two options I would go with the Deere. If you consider stepping up to the 2605H, I would go with the Massey all day every day. Wait, you said 2wd. Scratch what I said above. Go with the Massey 2604H.

Comparison Massey Ferguson 2606h vs Kioti RX6620

I had a 2606H for 3 years and 400 hours. It was a great tractor. It would do anything you asked it to and then some. Like you have already stated though, it's a no frills tractor. The mechanical shuttle is the only upgrade and that's not saying much. If you want a basic, simple and...

I've been trying to figure out what's going on with the Dyna2 myself. I have a 4710 with one and my fear is that they are having problems with them and that's why they dropped it. I hope it's just a parts supply issue though. I love my Dyna2. I mostly bush hog and that gear split makes it...

Advice sought about grading gravel driveway

You guys need land planes for your gravel driveways. If it's ever had enough rock a land plane will pull it back up to the surface and lay it back out perfectly smooth. All you have to do is drop it on the ground and drive. No constantly messing with the 3 point or anything like that.

Brand New MF 2605 H Turns Over No Start

Mine did sort of the same thing. The fuel line between the filter base going to the pump had dry rotted and was leaking fuel. Pump the hand primer and you should be able to see if that's the case on yours, it will leak fuel.

When I pull the latch on mine to open the hood you better watch out because it's going to go full open and quick! It has no problem opening all the way on it's own and staying there. What's the ambient temperature where you are? I know some of those gas struts lose some pressure in colder...

    Recent price for a 4707

What's going on with the Dyna 2 option being dropped? I'm hoping just a parts supply issue. They've had the Dyna option out for a while on other platforms and everyone loves it and it seems to be problem free in those. I got my 4710 with Dyna 2 last September and I love it! I only got to put...

Take the pin for the top link on the tractor out and replace it with a standard pin and see how the 3 point acts. That pin is the sensor the draft control uses so swapping it for a standard pin should help eliminate the draft control causing issues.

The factory halogen lights are plenty bright but there's just something about the allure of LED's for most of us. I mow well after dark all the time and I find myself not using the loader lights at all because the headlights and cablights are that good. I would like to upgrade the rear work...
