Relevant in many ways as previously explained. I will refrain from a menial retort out of respect for others on this thread. About 1200 lbs per 100 kwh battery pack lets say roughly so you understand there is a range depending on the mfg and driving conditions. Range is about 250 miles if...

Weight matters. It wears roads, puts more stress on bridges, wears tires, and could make the vehicle larger. On the flip side it makes EVs safer in a crash against an equivalent sized vehicle. Good and bad. You have a “battery pack” of basically a few thousand small AA batteries in your...

No they are trying to get at apples to apples. So overall a vehicle manufacturer needs to hit a certain mpg target for all vehicles they deliver. If a truck is 20 mpg and a EV is 80, the average is 50 mpg…. if the ratings are going down by 50%, let’s say today the average is 30 mpg overall...

All I needed to see was Boulder, CO on the screen to know it’s a bunch of liberal gobbledygook. I lived there for 8 years….I know better than most. Comparing the revolution of smartphones to EVs is ridiculous. Smartphones were better than the existing phones in every way. EVs are better than...

By itself? Absolutely. Right now the range is worse than ICE, and if they tow it’s not even comparable. If I lived in the middle of the city in a house (not apt) and worked at an office 30 min away, it would be more palatable…but I don’t.
