Because someone who sits at a desk designing stuff never even dreamed that there were people out there that actually work outside in the dirt and not a nice clean cement slab

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

Yes, to me that is automatic. Fresh oil, filter and I will be replacing a few hoses also. All of the ones connected to the new trans and few of the older ones on the machine.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

OK now. After a month or so on this problem, with help from people on this site I have narrowed down EXACTLY what the problem is. It is the pump after the gear pump. It is the 3rd section back from the front by the engine. I have heard 2 - 3 different names. The gear pump comes after. Now, with...

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

OK, everything is now tested. I put T,s in on the hose from the trans, then on the hoses going to the front hydr cyl. I have no pressure readings. not even out of the transmission. Oil will drain, but no pressure. If I put the bucket down and lift the front wheels up it still turns, a little...

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

OK, now I am confused. What area? Steering Box or Transmission? Gear pump is attached to Trans. The hose to the Steering Box comes from the front underneath of the trans, opposite end of the gear pump.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

OK, checked at the front curl, 2000 psi, both ports. Checked RH arm 2000psi. Rechecked at both ports on power steering. If I dang near stand on the steering wheel pulling it so hard I barely get a 500psi reading. So, bad power steering pump?

This is a non-issue as I have been running Motor oil after 2 flushes and numerous bad leaks for 4 years now.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

Gauges came in. checked everything I could think would give me a reading. (Now remember, I have hydro to both buckets, can drive forward and reverse, and can pick up tractor rear by stabilizers and front by bucket.) I checked from trans to p/s box, no reading. I checked from P/S box to both ends...

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

I know, I already ordered a set with the fittings. It comes friday and Sat I should be able to get it checked out. I was kind of suspecting the gear pump any way because the last owner used hydraulic fluid.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

OK, I am tracking. I did not think about the suck air part. Now if you can only figure what else I could do with that gauge, then I MIGHT be able to justify it to the wife.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

Suction screen filter pulled and cleaned. Was not bad at all, but a fair amount of metal shavings. About 1/4 a teaspoon stuck on the screen. Rolled pin and pedal are fine. A little play, but then the whole machine has play. Tested machine and still the same. Now what, any more idea's.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

So, it looks like I just drain, take off hose, and unscrew nut till the screen comes out? I know that has to be dirty, bad. Just because of some of the things the previous owner told me.

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

I did a quick check on the pedal and spring pin. The shaft will slide from transmission to outside with a 1/2 inch play, but the square metal cover is still over the plastic square. Just sliding back and forth. as for play in the pedal, I cannot see any but will have to do a disassemble to...

    1997 T5C hydraulics Problem

Starting to have problems and looking to narrow it down. Started about 3 weeks ago. When I stopped movement and let up the pedal or even in mid use of the buckets it would start jigging a little. Just sort of a little jerking. using the buckets or ups and downs on them did not stop it, but a...

Loader  MF 200 loader attachment Model 201

I have not gotten a book on this yet and since the flood I had to drain it. Does anyone have an idea what type of fluid and roughly how much it would take? It is early 60's so it could be motor or hydro oil.
