    Good morning!!!!

On the way back from local dirt track racing last night, I hit my first deer (ever). 10:15pm Three ran across to road. I slowed way down, they cleared me but then the last one turned right around and ran back in front of me - BANG!, left front hit. I think I was only going 10 -15 mph. Minor...

    Good morning!!!!

I spent 3 hours spraying 41% glyphosate yesterday early afternoon, to kill pasture grass on a newly acquired hunting spot. Nice, sunny afternoon and evening. This morning, I awake to thunder, lightning and heavy rain (again). I hope the "after a few hours - it's rainfast" is correct and I...

Cat 1 disc with cat 2 arms?

Yep, that's the issue I'm trying to "solve". It's a standard "snap coupler 3 point conversion" on an Allis D-17 Series III. I found two adjustable "extra long" cat 1 pins (had to go to two stores, buying their last one at each store) which may extend/widen the attachment points enough. I'll...

Cat 1 disc with cat 2 arms?

5030: Thanks but, the links are both adjustable. If they're made longer to allow the arms to come closer, they'd catch on the drawbar hitch and prevent the thing from raising. The ends would probably be lower than the disc pins too.

Cat 1 disc with cat 2 arms?

I think those bushings I posted won't help at all. They're designed to mount with the big to the outside. There'd be no way to put the clips in. I'll look for longer pins (see two lengths - 5" and 6 3/8"), use spacer bushings, and re-try.

Now that I just went out to take a pic and measure, it IS odd. When pulled tightly together, the outside of the lift arms are 29". Good morning!!!!

This my fourth dog, so I know the drill. My almost 13 year old dog is having real trouble pooping. He squats but hardly anything comes out. Only squirts and maybe a large marble size turd comes out and they are a bit bloody. He drinks plenty of water and pees fine. Took him to the vet and...

The state is finally working on all the dead ash trees, along the state roads, here. Not coming up with any results, so I'll just ask here. Rather than try and fab up something, I've been looking for a 3 point implement frame to be used to modify or make a 3 point attachment. I cut apart an old 3 point carryall to repurpose the mount, but I need another. An internet search...

Yep, I thought of that if any of it is decent. I'll need to cut it out of the trees, though. There's a belt drive cement mixer, sit on (horse drawn) cultivator and manure spreader, and other treasures. Maybe list 'em as "Yard Art". :D

Got up to 78 yesterday - a record. They're calling for a bit of snow later today, 35 mph winds and a low of 8 tonight, then back up into the 60's. Springtime roller coaster weather, for sure.

    Good morning!!!!

I should post this in the HF tools that don't suck thread... Worked good. Round one (of maybe 46?) done. I sprayed warning orange on the leftover bits still in the tree.
  134. gstrom99

    Good morning!!!!

Yeah. They cut it off the hub I guess, but left the spokes, which the tree grew up through... I salvaged another last year, which is now painted and a raised flower bed.

Good Morning! 'spozed to get up to 70 today. Wow, the winter that hardly was, is almost over. I've had flies and moths flying around already! I spent an hour or so, and two sawzall blades and 4 1/2" grinder wheels, the other day, on some implements that have been sitting here for years. I...

Winter is not a good time to be on the roof. Before I moved out here, I noticed a roof leak - in the winter... It seems these kind of problems always show up at the worst time/weather, doesn't it? I paid to have the roof stripped, rotten wood replaced and a new roof put on. It hurt to write...

A land plane won't "dig in" enough, I think. ruff's post has a couple good products. I personally, would go with a rototiller - set just low enough at first to see if you can take off the top of the rough parts.

Receiver tube, welded center seam, up or down?

Yes, IF welded right, there should be no difference in strength. But... I've seen a bunch of poorly welded tubing in the scrap yard, that failed the inspection process. What about the "missed" ones? I like DOM tubing, but it's often over budget $, and project needs.

Yep. My Overhead Door Co. doors came with those on the sides and top already. Bottom is HD rubber seal. $8k for two doors, installed (8x10 and 8x9). More (way more) $ than I wanted, but they needed "high lift" tracks and I didn't want to mess 'em up by doing them myself.
