Case 590 TLB- Any good around a ranch/farm?

Go for it! If you decide you don't like it, or need it then you can sell it. You will not loose any money on a solid, working, full size TLB! You will live to regret it if you do not buy it! I have a nice low hour Kubota L48 TLB that I very seldom use. Would I want to be without it? NEVER !!!!

looking for an ideal garden tractor

I am with Egon on this! The larger wheels on the B7100 are actually a distinct advantage over the Bx1850 for garden use. You should note that the last B7100 was manufactured in 1985. B7100 style/type tractors by various manufacturers are extensively used by family plot farmers in Japan.

    Rpms for backhoe

Ditto! You have a full size machine, and I have a medium size (L48) machine. I think that the little add-on tractor backhoes just don't have the same sort of hydraulic pump flow/volume that our larger machines do. They actually may need to run at higher RPM to get sufficient hydraulic power.

    Buying a Branson

I bought a nearly pristine used Kubota L48 TLB, because it was exactly the BH size I was looking for (11' reach). That said; it was a compromise for me. I would have preferred shuttle shift, but it came with HST. That is sorta OK, but what I do hate is...... the treadle pedal! The Japanese...

Yes.....mine does have steering brakes, and dual wheels, but at nearly 81 I don't use it any more. I was going to sell it, but one of my sons asked me to hold on. I have two large storage buildings, so it will probably sit where it is until I croak. Battery is dead!

    Buying a Branson

I know very little about the Branson line, but as a guess I would think the -20 series might be the best size for you. Has it ever been said: "I wish I had bought a smaller tractor"? If machine support is at the very top of your list, Kubota and John Deere will be the likely winners.

    Do backyard tractors need grease?

    Do backyard tractors need grease?
