Please don't be sorry. I appreciate your input. I think I will pull the trigger on the WC68. That's the only way to find out if it is better than what I have now and maybe I will be kicking my butt for waiting so long, lol.

Welcome to TBN and thanks for your input. I can certainly swing the WC88 but I am concerned that the belt drive system is just more potential problems down the road. My main concern is whether or not the WC68 will feed the small branches (with needles) better than the chipper I have now. I...

That's weird! I did not highlight the word chipper and I certainly did not intend for a link to Woodmax. As the thread title states, I am interested in the Woodland Mills WC68. Why is my post being directed to a different site. Something is wrong here!!!!! Do I need to report this to Admin?

    Woodland Mills WC68 Chipper

Yesterday I pulled the bed knife and sharpened it. Found it was cracked. This is the second one that has cracked. I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the mount for it. A quality issue. I welded it and replaced it. I have already sharpened the blades with a diamond stone. I reset the...

I currently have an Agriease 4" gravity feed chipper which is a Chinese knock off of the Wallenstein. I've had it for around 10 years and it has chipped a lot of small stuff, which is all I chip. Normally nothing bigger than 2" to 3" but mostly green tree branches and green tree tops. It works...

If you can weld you could make one. Not that hard. I made one for my L6060 a few years ago and it still works fine. If you don't have the equipment you could get a welding / fab shop to make one or better yet get a friend to make one for you. That's what friends do, lol.

I drilled a hole at the end of the crack and put a small bolt in it. When the temps warm up a bit I will grind and weld. no problemo, lol. I just found another hairline crack at the bottom right hand side of the door. Appears to be a weak spot at the door frame. Crack in wood stove

As I have already noted this is a mild steel stove there is no cast iron. There have been several suggestions to use brazing rod and I will do some checking on that. My 15 year old wood stove has a hairline crack radiating out from the upper right hand corner of the door frame. It is about 3" long and barely visible. The metal is 1/8" thick steel. Who is excited for snow season? Not us! We're depressed due to lack of snow.

Clear skies and a low of -37C overnight (-43C with the wind chill). Way too cold to be outside for any length of time. Should get to a balmy -24C today. Burning lots of wood and supplementing with electric heat. Won't see snow until late Monday.

No snow in our forecast until Monday but the cold temps have arrived. -20C now and supposed to get to -31C tonight. With wind chill, those temps are -29C to -37C. Good time to be in the house or in the shop both of them have wood stoves going and I moved a bunch of wood into those buildings in...

Yes it will! I went through this last year when the temps here hit -37C here and my diesel gelled. I managed to get the tractor into my shop after using a product called Diesel 911. With the wood stove going the diesel eventually all turned back to liquid. I believe the fuel has to get up to...

Who is excited for snow season? Not us! We're depressed due to lack of snow.

I used some random pipe I had laying around, I think it was from a well drilling rig. It is 2-1/4" OD and about 3/16" wall thickness. I cut a slot wide enough to match the blade thickness and mounted it to the cutting edge. Then I made some tabs and bolted those to the backside of the bolts...

Who is excited for snow season? Not us! We're depressed due to lack of snow.

I decided to plow the driveway and the area around the buildings. Earlier this year I put a round pipe on the cutting edge of that blade, to...

We got 5 1/2" overnight. Not sure if I will plow it or leave it because the ground is not frozen and I hate digging up the driveway. The temps are just below freezing and are supposed to get just above. With that snow cover the ground will not likely freeze and there is a cold snap coming with a...

Did the roto tilling today just before the lightning storm hit. Tomorrow I will cover the garden with black plastic and then cover the edges, as suggested. Hope I will have a LOT less weeds next year.

    Fed up with the garden

Thanks for the advice. I tried some black plastic before but the wind storms made off with it. I even tried putting large rocks all over it but the winds get under the edges and tear it up. Maybe there is a better way to hold it in place and I am open to any ideas.

This is the first year in about 12 years that I have not planted our little veggie garden (about 30' x 40') because I was sick and tired of weeding and never found a decent method for dealing with them. Of course, this year the veggie prices are through the roof in our area. Broccoli, green...

    Tractor Died While Blowing Snow!

My experience over the last 2 days suggests that you have gelled fuel and the fix is not easy if you can't get the tractor into a warm place. My tractor ran fine with a mix of summer fuel and winter fuel with temps around -5F but it didn't like -30F. That caused all the problems I've been...

I guess boring depends on how much time is spent doing a task. My driveway is 1 mile long and it gets boring just driving ahead and not doing anything other than steering the tractor and then turning around to do it again. Plowing the driveway is faster, except that I have to make 4 passes...

L6060 Hard Starting In Cold Weather

The glow plug symbol shows up on the intellipanel when the key is turned on and when the symbol turns off, the plugs are hot. So yes they are being preheated. My guess it is around 10 seconds or so before the symbol turns off. Then I start the tractor. This is after the block heater has been...

L6060 Hard Starting In Cold Weather

Ever since I got the L6060 I've noticed it was hard starting in cold weather, even after the block heater has been plugged in all night. Last year I called the dealer and told him of the issue and he said to use a multi meter and test across the plug terminals to see if there was resistance and...

    Starlink

They certainly did and that happened a LOT faster than getting the dish (which I still don't have). But I am still happy because I was told it will ship soon and they have actually responded to 2 of my questions, within an hour. I have made contact! 😄

    Starlink

Well my excitement got tempered today. I initially got an email telling me the kit was going to ship on Dec 24 but after processing a credit card payment for the full payment, my account states the status is pending and will likely not ship until Jan 10 to 16, 2022. But I am still ecstatic...

That video shows a small tractor blowing a few centimeters of snow and going slow. Do you have any links to tractors that size, using that blower, blowing more than a few cm of snow? Better yet, I would like to see what you use. Videos would be great, but pics would help us to understand what...

    Rear Inverted Snowblowers 2019

I'm curious to see what you use for a snowblower. Please post some pics of what you use and consider to be the best setup for your tractor and your conditions. It will be interesting to compare to what we use.

    Rear Inverted Snowblowers 2019

Do you have any video links to tractors in the 20 hp to 50hp range using these blowers?

    Rear Inverted Snowblowers 2019

Do you have any links to videos of them in operation. I've only found one that is using a very old blower, with a very old tractor, lol. Edit. I must have posted just before you did. So now I will check out the video you linked.
