Yes there were part changes during the GC2300 fuel line assembly. Mostly going from wire clamps to hose clips for the fuel lines. Hose material may have changed, nothing drastic, probably just changing supplier or lowering costs. Fuel line is a bulk item, cut to desired length.

I have replaced that small section, was leaking on the backside. Be aware there is a restrictor in that section of hose that has to be removed and inserted into new piece.

The pivoting front axle makes a stability triangle the similar to a forklift. Widening the front axle will have none to little effect. Biggest gains to stability are counterweight on the tractor's 3pt, loaded tires, then spacers on the rear axle.

Have you tried tilling with some weight in the FEL, in 4WD. It can reduce the "rocking horse" motion that could contribute to the tiller raising up.

25+ years ago, might have been true with some oils. Not enough film strength to protect metal parts on startup. Oil/additive chemistry has come a long way. I wouldn't even be worried using a 0W oil today.

Mobile 1300 is API service requirement CK-4 approved, the current rating. The CC and CD ratings are obsolete, superseded by the CK rating. Just means the oil is better quality than the manual required.

I think it's normal, has done it since new, very easy to replicate. The hood mounts and latch mechanism changed for the GC2400. If you go underneath, check the motor mounts while your there.

I can understand your frustration. This is not a typical problem. As hube2 says, the issue seem to be a blockage not allowing the oil to drain back into the sump. The return line from the FEL drains back into the hydraulic lift cover. If it cannot drain, it will continue to fill until it starts...

Wow, pictures explain your issue better than any description. An inspection camera down the fill tube might help out here. Something might have gotten dropped in during the fluid change. Don't be afraid of removing the tube for better access. I'm sure someone can provide insights.

It is only a tab bent out from the guard. The 90 degree bend probably started a stress crack in the metal, and vibration took care of the rest. Using it as a handhold had little to do with it breaking. Poor design, just enough to get it out of warranty.

Ensure the fuel supply valve is turned fully on, bowl full of fuel while running. If everything looks ok, pull the filter back off again, double check the inside of the filter for obstructions, inspect o-ring. Haven't really heard of anyone getting the fuel system airlocked on a GC.

Early version of the GCs also had a breather hose that seems to be missing on the GC1705/10. They never suffered from these issues. From what I know, the only vent for the transmission case now is the filler cap. It is poor quality.

Assuming the Hydro oil used was the correct spec, try taking a look at the oil fill tube plug. It also acts as a breather valve preventing pressure build up in the transmission. It will come out there if over pressured. It is only a plastic plug, do not tighten it like its a nut/bolt.

The transmission takes 11 litres (quarts). 10 1/2 may not show in the sight glass, 11 1/2 may completely fill it. Keep track of how much you pour in. Check the breather valve on the oil fill cap while you have it out.

Take a sample of the oil after runing it to get the oil mixed up well. It will show whether it as air entrainment or water contamination. Does not matter the sample comes from the transmission, or a loader hydraulic line. Until then, it's just speculation.

Changed the THF in my GC's hydro, 90 hours after a dealer service. Consistency of chocolate milk. A LOT depends on weather conditions, and extreme temperatures. The quality of the oil does make a difference in my experience.

Pictures look more like contamination. No source of combustion byproducts, and if it isn't oxidizing from high temps, that leaves water. A bad vent/breather valve can introduce a lot.

Comparing apples and oranges. Motor oil and gear oil use 2 different classifications. 10W30 motor oil and 75W85 gear oil are the same viscosity, but different applications, so the additive package is different.

Why replace the valve? The yoke and ball studs are replaceable.

The fill plug contains a spring loaded breather valve to prevent pressure buildup in the front axle when it gets hot. It is plastic, do not over tighten. It is a plug, not a bolt.
