Also check all battery cables, both where they connect to either ground or starter. And also check cables at battery post. You should not be able to rotate the cable by hand after tightening it down. Lead and steel battery cable clamps stretch over time, especially is overtightened.

Weird as it may sound, its possible for a underground wire to be losing voltage thru the ground if wire is damaged. Also interior wiring issues can cause power spikes. Our power companies here will attach a meter to house and monitor usage for a few days. Check with your supplier

Depends on generator. A generac standby needs constant battery charging while operating during power outage. This is designed into the generator. Some generators have battery charging windings in alternator, some dont. It depends on generator specifications.

I made my own output box for my shop generator. Box cost $9.30 and another $13 for two ct and meter combo units plus $8 for manual start switch. And as stated elsewheres…theres no such thing as 9 gauge wire.

In all honesty, a 9kw generator can only supply 37 amps at 240volts.

Easiest method…. Add an overrunning clutch. Can move it by hand. Also, this has added benefit of letting an implement like a chipper continue to spin after shutting down without involving pto system

I have a 1000 lb rear ballast now myself. I used to move and install alot of generators. Some of those topped 1500#. Even though the tractor could lift it, it was hard on the front end. The rear weight really helped. Without weight the tractor was real tipsy.
