That’s usually normal, especially as the weather gets cooler. Add a cetane improver and see if cold starting improves

I've had this tractor since 2013 and this smoking on startup is something new this year, it has been doing this since spring.

When my glow plugs started to fail, i was getting smoke even in summer. Now i dont even get smoke in cold mornings like when it was new. Today it was 34°F and she fired right up, no smoke

Same thing here. Temp was about 40F and the tractor started, after the glow plug cycle, like it had just been shut off.
