    Rant against insurance agencies

Got word beginning of last week they are totalling out our 2008 f350 after my wife wrecked it. This whole process has been going on for 5 weeks. For the last week, they are giving us every reason in the world not to give us a pay out. State farm has never done us wrong until now. They told my...

    Bobcat 324 fuel issue?

2014 model. Has the kubota 722 engine in it. Never had a problem with it. A couple of weekends ago I was using it and it would start to bog at high RPM with no hydraulics being used. I would bring it down to idle and back to full and no issues. 5 minutes later start to bog again. Figured maybe...

When a saw is big but still too small

Watching the show timber titans on the weather channel. This group found an old ceder they need to cut so it can be airlifted. A 72" saw was flown in and still not big enough without walking around it. Can't imagine that but yet I can, if that makes sense. Only had to walk a cut a few times...

    Stupid money question....IRA

We moved from AK to MI in 2013. My old employer rolled my 401k into an IRA through merril. I just found the paperwork tonight from merril about the transfer. I still have totes from our move that I haven't touched...I found my original DD214 last year from my discharge 24 years ago...I suck...

    Sometimes you roll snake eyes....

Farm down the road went up in flames. 5 alarm fire due to no water source. Our VFD rolled out with the water tank. I guess luckily, if you want to call it that, only the main barn was destroyed along with the milk room. It was in the middle of the night and folks driving down the road stopped...

Laying a pipe under a driveway

My dad bought this house a couple years ago. Put in a new driveway last year. Had a flagpole put in last week. He wants a hardwired light system to light the the flag. Unfortunately the silly driveway is in the way. What's the best DIY way to pound a pipe under the driveway? Is there a machine...

    Stuck B&W gooseneck ball

Been hitting this thing for hours with an air hammer and got it this far. Now it's stopped. Won't move anymore. I can move it up and down by hand but it stops at this point. When it stops, I can move it back and forth. Almost like it's against another stop or lock. I don't have a goose neck...

    Trailer mounted winch question

How do you power it? Obviously the easiest solution is a battery in the box but how do you keep it charged? Can you wire it into the trailer lights with a trickle charger? What's the best way?

Frustrated. Trying to find a rear axle for Chinese hisun 400 utv

My dad uses it at his house. 80yo and he has a hard time walking. Totally locked up. Had problems in the past with it. Started out when I first took the rear axle out, I found the pinion nut was totally backed off. I'm sure that didn't help. I found 1 on ebay but either the guy wants to make...

Wife came home with a new toy

Been looking for a bigger truck for pulling things. Our current f150 has over 320k on the odometer and times running low on that truck. We've been looking but hoping prices will come down. Test drove a 2008 f350 yesterday. Thing was clean and nice. It was an actual work truck. Manual windows...

Any tree guys? Problem with an apple and a cherry tree

Along our driveway, we have 2 apple ( not sure what kind), 2 cherry (same on type) and a pear. This spring all 5 started out great, then after flowering, part of one apple and a complete cherry "died" Other 3 are healthy. Although the birds cleaned out the cherry tree. On the apple, the bark...

We got a MF 1705 over glorified lawn mower we have been using. Worked great but looking at something bigger. My question is for the class1 3 point. Are the splines universal between all makes and models? I got all the implements I need. Just a little bit bigger tractor. Curious of the output...

Good source for tracks for a mini.

Our 2014 bobcat 324 is about due some new shoes. Did the Google thing and found prices between 500-700 a piece. OK, equipment is expensive but I never used these companies so I don't know them. Any good sources with good customer service, decent shipping prices, etc?

    Modified dump truck.

It's a 92 superduty that has served us well but now rust has taken over. Between the frame and brakelines, etc, I made the call that it's not road worthy. 5 tons in the back with a sketchy truck isn't worth it. I'll have a company drop gravel, etc and I'll move it around the 100acres as...

A little bit of the past....

My wife's grandapa was a quiet guy. We knew he had history and he'd talk some of it but he just loved his farm he had and that was his life. He was big into racing. He's got a couple motorcycles in his basement, atleast they were before his death. Wife's cousin spent a couple weeks in Daytona...

Power company is expanding the lines. Whatever, times change. They do have to cut back the trees for taller poles. I understand that and they paid us well. Maybe they should of asked the landowners on conditions before cutting....lol

    Losing weight.

I never had this problem since I've been 170 for over 30 years but I have watched my wife struggle with it. It sucks and if your doing good on weight loss, my hats off. She lost over 80lbs and keeping it off. She's disabled but still forces herself to walk 4-6 miles a day, firewood and other...

    Wife's truck making noise.

I don't drive my wife's truck much but used it yesterday to go to my dad's to cut up an oak tree that was down. Drove good but dang, something was wrong coming from the bed area. Got home and found a broken leaf spring. Asked her about the noise and she said she just got used to it and I'm...

Boom and drive won't work at the same time

Little 324. If I'm driving, I need to stop to lower the beam, or basically do anything with the joysticks. I can rotate but nothing else. Was stuck once and really sucked trying to crawl out while trying to pull myself out. Is this normal on these little machines? It's always been this way...
