What did you buy this week?

My tractor is hydrostatic drive which it needs to be. It's really easy to use but a camera is a must. I'll probably fabricate something simple to help keep wood chips from occasionally flying up. Small clear tarp would work.

How good or useful is a tractor rake?

I guess I'll soon have 40 attachments! [emoji849] I recently got a stump grinder which does a great job but leaves a foot deep pile of chips and dirt. I have 40 pines all in a row to do. I was thinking about a rake like this TSC or similar. 1) if I use it for small limbs, sticks or leaves does...

What did you buy this week?

I used the MechMaxx today and it works great. They did leave one step out of instruction manual though. Installation is straightforward and I feel stupid in hindsight. Thankfully I didn't have to cut the PTO shaft because it was a perfect fit. The included shaft has a slip clutch end that goes...

Name the car you passed your drivers license in?

Years ago a neighbor was killed. He was a passenger in his friends pickup and at an intersection said "whoa", his friend thought he said "go", they were T-boned by another truck.

What did you buy this week?

I just received the MechMaxx stump grinder I ordered. I had tractor ready with pallet forks on to unload it, now I'm putting it together. It came with tools even and it's packed in a steel frame. [emoji106]

Name the car you passed your drivers license in?

My Grandfather had a Taylorcraft then later a Cessna which I rode in as a little kid. It would shut off at high elevation and he would say the carburetor is frozen...but it will thaw out on the way down. [emoji43]‍[emoji94] Then sometimes he would say he felt faint and I'd have to take over...

What did you buy this week?

I have a confession: [emoji848][emoji37][emoji2962] I have three Intermatic T101 timers. Each in a different shed used for holiday decorations. One we put a lot of halloween decorations down driveway and it's wired to an outdoor socket. I set it on at 7pm, off at midnight. It would run up to 7pm...

    Worst day ever !

That doesn't make sense. A treadmill you're getting necessary exercise and you can hold both sides, then try just one hand...it's still exercise and way less chance of falling. Stationary bicycle also seems good.

Name the car you passed your drivers license in?

Years ago I heard a funny one. In the mid 60s I saw The Spirit of America record holder and a fellow got pulled over for speeding. Officer said "Who do you think you are...Art Arfons?". "No" guy says "I'm Craig Breedlove" which it really was! [emoji38]

Getting my butt kicked power issue

You need a schematic. It will be easy with a printed wiring diagram. A simple test light is really all you need clipped to a good ground, be sure it lights at battery + and starter. It should light at alternator.

So do I need a new phone

You can call your local police department NON emergency number and explain you'd like to test your phone for 911. I've done it in the past, no problem.

Name the car you passed your drivers license in?

My Dad had a variety of cars throughout the 60s-70s and one '72 red Duster I really liked, then he ordered a '75 Valiant smogger that had constant problems. The start of anti-pollution crap.
  16. Fuddyduddy1952

Name the car you passed your drivers license in?

I had one for a while (I collect AMC cars [emoji849]). At the time the designers were after a smaller car with same interior room as a large sedan with lots of glass, no blind spots. The running gear was fine so I saved the 258 six & Torqueflite trans. Esthetically it was a design flop, but...

Is the Cyber Truck a Flop?

A lot of people want a 'one size fits all' vehicle which I'm thinking is why crew cab large pickups are so popular, a 4dr family sedan+truck, but just like I have a variety of tools I bet there would be a market for a small inexpensive truck. I see a lot of Mitsubishi minicab trucks around here...

    What's the best microwave oven???

I bought a Samsung yesterday from Lowes. It was $400 on sale for $259. My Lowes card discount paid for the tax. Wife really likes it especially because the cavity is ceramic and easy to clean. Much larger than one we had.

I had our gravel driveway paved 35 years ago and again 2 years ago. Best thing I ever did. No dust/dirt tracked in house, so easy rolling anything on it. No weeds or buying gravel.
