My Stupidity kicked in at full throttle.

This was another comment on that thread... I have found that leaving a powder coated object in the environment that it is supposed to survive in, is the best way to get that crap to bubble.

My Stupidity kicked in at full throttle.

I've removed powder coat by using carb cleaner or laquer thinner. The trick is to soak it into a rag, wrap it around the part, then seal it in a plastic bag. The bag prevents the solvent from evaporating. Let soak for an hour and the coating comes off like a grape peel.

The 3xxx E series has an aluminum rear axle housing - the R series s cast iron. Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but is for some. Same for the 2 speed hydro, I'm still kind of fuzzy on the heavy duty series.

In the 3 series Deeres, the D series is a super economy version (gear transmission), the E is the economy series (2 speed hydro, aluminum rear end), R is the deluxe version (3 speed hydro, more refined). Not sure what the heavy duty model is other than it says category 1 and Category 2 hitches.

Two years ago, we had some logging done on our hunting land. I asked the loggers what kind of chainsaw they had with them. They said none. If their workers comp carrier caught them with a chainsaw in their truck, they would drop their coverage. All the cutting is done with their feller/buncher.

So Ted is going to make the lenders, the shippers, the suppliers, the credit card companies, the contractors, the customers and the property tax whole?? Not sure it's time to celebrate or name Ted - Man of the Year yet.

    Front wheel drive

Basically, when you hit your Differential Lock, you are making your own limited slip differential (for the back wheels). A lot of CUT owners don't know they have it, or how it works. Back in the old days, we would press on the brake of the spinning wheel to apply more load to that side, so...

No. On Limited slip, both wheels would turn.

    Front wheel drive

An open differential applies equal power to both sides. If one side has less traction, that wheel will spin, and it will appear that the other side isn't getting any power. I reality, both sides are getting equal power. It's just that one side doesn't have traction. It's just like one wheel...

Compact Track Loader, whos the best?

I think Bobcat has had strong market share for decades. I think they would also have good parts availability (they did for me when I had a Bobcat) From Equipment World: Kubota retained its position as the top seller of new financed (CTL) units with 26% of total sales. Bobcat and Cat were neck...

You Know You Are Old When

When I was a young lad, I couldn't afford a motorcycle. I bought a Honda 305 Scrambler in boxes. It had a 350 kit. I rebuilt it and reassembled it. It ran great, and I got to have a little fun with it, until... I was racing the dog across a hay field, hit a hidden rock and flew 120 feet...

I think riding a snowmobile is as close as you can come to driving a race car in terms acceleration and handling. The problem is, I don't know how to ride them other than all out. The last time I was on my Yamaha SRX triple, the speedometer said 112 and was still climbing, but I didn't dare...

Depending on how stuck you got, take a look underneath and look for a broken or disconnected wire. Glad you remembered 4wd. Also, don't forget that you have a differential lock.
