Need advice on a larger chainsaw for an older guy.

A three saw line up makes sense. Given your latest posts, I would amend your new saw to a Woods Ported 60cc Husqvarna or Stihl professional series saw. Then you have performance and not burdensome weight.

I know it's over simplistic, but I always wondered about using electrolysis as a means of storing surplus solar energy. I know it's not efficient, but you use solar powered electricity to separate hydrogen from H2O. Then when the sun isn't shining, you use the hydrogen as fuel to generate...

60cc professional grade Husqvarna or Stihl with a full chisel chain. I actually prefer not going overboard on bar length, so 16" -18"bar, 20" if you must.

I bought a pair for my neighbor for her sheep barn and pasture. Before that, she was wearing a headlamp to feed the animals before going to work. I didn't expect much. To my amazement, they stayed lit all night (dusk to dawn - dim), and lit well when they detected motion - even in sub zero...

The only reason I asked was to be curious about the potential for lighting, Many years ago, our County put lighting on a XC Ski Trail. Given how early it gets dark, that was pretty cool. Several years after that, a XC Ski Trail was created in our small town. A XC Ski Club raised funds to...

A new thread would be nice. A little off topic, but we were snowmobiling in Manitoba, and in the middle of nowhere, there was a small warming house with benches, and a wood stove for heat and a top you could cook on. Outside was a supply of wood for the stove. It was miles from any road. I am...

I agree with defining what you want to do with your tractor and implements you will be using first. Then determine the frame size that will do your tasks optimally. I am guessing a 35hp mid frame tractor about the size of a John Deere 3039R or 3032E (or same size Kioti, Kubota or LS) would do...

That's why I like seeing more and more renewables. I like getting to a point where middle east oil is irrelevant. Big Oil will still use and abuse us, but at least we can minimize the impact the mid east has on the market. Once thier cash cow dries up, they are so screwed.
