Out of that group of three, I'd take the New Holland. 09 was the good Shibaura built Boomers. BUT......it all comes down to which one was the best maintained and what you have for "good" dealers near you.

I think those (both the Case IH and the NH Boomers) of those years were good tractors. Shibaura built. I like the features on them better than the new LS built models. I think if you have good IH or NH dealers around you I wouldn't be worried buying one. My problem was I have no CNH dealers...

I like that particulate matter scale on the Intellipanel that shows the status of your DPF. I wish they all had that feature. Even class 8 trucks. Some truck brands have that in the display but not all. I think that is valuable information. And has been mentioned here.....Kubota is horrible...

If it's a 3040 Boomer it is a Shibaura built Boomer. I wish they were still Shibaura. They were a lot nicer than the LS built new ones. That Boomer would be bulletproof other than if it has the CVT transmission. They had some issues.

Ya, I have never seen what Massey gives for owners manuals. The Kubota one for my loader shows all the parts and is basically the instructions on how to install everything on the tractor.

Good stuff, but mostly only goes up to 1964. The more I look, maybe the one that is most commonly found is what it is supposed to look like and the one in my tractor may be one that was just put in? Because the aftermarket ones I am finding have kinda of the same shape knob as the fuel shutoff.

I had a pail full of knobs of all types from my old Mustang and F100 parts but none are big enough for the shaft on the tractor switch. I thought I was going to get lucky because usually Ford would share stuff like that between models.

And what are your thoughts on oils for this? I don't really want to switch to synthetic because as we know, it cleans deposits and "could" cause leaks. Just use a regular 15W40 like Rotella in engine?

In all my life, everything from my little Kubota to a full size backhoe has never been OUT of 4WD and I have never wore front tires or broke anything. Now mind you I'm not running 4WD on dry asphalt.

I knew it wasn't painted correct if it was a 9N....but I like the red way more than all grey. Hard to find anything all correct. That Ford 3000 diesel I was looking at is supposedly a 74 but it has a 68/69 hood on it. And I found a Massey 20C industrial that was painted the red and grey ag colors.

That doesn't bother me too much. My 55 Allis has a GM alternator on it also. I'm I'm probably going to be converting it to electronic ignition also.

Are carb parts still readily available for these? I'm thinking he had issues at some point because the original owners manual he has with it has written in ink on the cover "Carburetor Page 80" LOL

Wow, I'm surprised that much in US dollars. My Ford dealer quoted me $500 Canadian (which is worthless) to do my 8 foot box. BUT then again that was Sept 2020 so covid pricing wasn't in full effect at that point.

Luckily mine is aluminum. That is why dealer talked me into plastic, to have a another layer of dent protection. But I'm careful when I load stuff anyway, so it's not really an issue for me.

I don't know what brand Kubota sprays in their RTV's but my X1100C has dumped NUMEROUS loads of gravel and firewood and it still looks brand new.

Edit to above....the front loader would be better than a plow. And I'm sure that even at 13.7 PTO h.p. that Kubota diesel is going to have more torque than a 16 h.p. gas lawn tractor that can blow snow just fine.

Good plan to keep that. That's what I had. 07 Megacab dually. They only had a catalytic converter. Then replaced it with a 6.0 Ford Powerstroke because it was way better on fuel, but then it blew up twice. LOL

You are right about resale though.....diesel will be worth more. But so is maintenance, fuel and the purchase price. And all the downtime you will get with all your NOX sensors and DPF issues, LOL

5.9 doesn't have all this new emissions stuff though. I had a 5.9 and they were great on fuel. Try comparing a new 6.7 SCR/DPF. They get as bad as 11 US MPG towing. Besides my big trucks I used to haul RV's from the factories with one tons. I know all about what they REALLY get for mileage...
