IDK what pump u have.?? If it’s a RoosaMaster or Stanadyne pump, it might have a check ball return fitting.. If it’s a CAV, Lucas or Delphi pump, they do not have a check ball connector.. If u think it’s the connector, simply unscrew it completely and start the engine.. if it stays running, u...

Does your solenoid have 1 wire or 3.??

I’d have to guess that the flex ring has broken up inside the inj pump and the engine is getting ready to run away.. Unless it has had the updated weight retainer installed or the inj pump name plate starts with “DM”.. I’d stick with broken flex ring.

Last week THRU this week, I’ve had pkgs and letters “misplaced” by EVERY SINGLE CARRIER IN THE U.S..!!! Idk what to try next.?? Other than delivering them myself..& that ain’t happening.. I certainly can’t drive to CA. or NY for $36.00.!!

The shut off solenoid is just above where the steel lines hook up to the inj pump.. Good luck

I’m in the middle of a debacle right now.. Payment left Illinois, made it to South Carolina in reasonable time.. shoulda been delivered on Friday at the latest.. Current location shows it went back to Illinois, with NO DELIVERY DATE GIVEN...WHY??

I’ve seen small diesels run at 290 psi but not lower.. & they needed really long crank times. To check the fuel system.. a quick and dirty way is to hang the injectors outside the engine and crank the engine.. see if the injectors fire.. DO NOT get near the spray.!! U can set up some cardboard...

Can u get to the control rack anywhere else on the engine.? by removing a panel.? Do u trust the pump evaluation.?? It needed to be looked at with experienced eyes..

Corn, did u check to see if the engine started without the solenoid.?? If it does, u can reach in the hole and push the control rack to shut it off..
