    NOS Peerless/Tecumseh trans-axle

New Reconditioned Peerless - Tecumseh 6 speed transaxle. 3/4" diameter axles. Never installed. It is still in the original shipping box. These Transaxles are used on certain Craftsman, Ariens, Poulan, Husqvarna and more LAWN TRACTORS. Typically made in the late 1990's to about 2007. Part...

    Peerless Transaxle

Clifford, I believe you are correct. You would have to transfer the pulley, fan, and gear shift linkage from the old Transaxle. I am not sure what the R means. I am sure it is significant. It may mean reconditioned.

    Peerless Transaxle

I have a reconditioned Tecumseh Peerless 6 speed transaxle that was never installed. It is still in the shipping box. I know it fits some Craftsman lawn tractors. How can I find out what else it may be used on? Part number 794691R

Need wiring schematic for Craftsman T900

The wiring diagram Stevem posted has been very helpful. Some of the colors do not agree but much of it I was able to confirm with my DMM. The only thing that seems a bit off is the wiring for the RMC module. I took off the engine cover and found a mouse did a number on a lot of the insulation...

Need wiring schematic for Craftsman T900

Thank you . That is the closest I have seen so far. I will confirm more of the wire colors to it later today. Just at first glance it looks pretty good. On a minor note, It does not have an ampmeter on the dash. This might be an option for up graded models. The RMC module has a different...

Need wiring schematic for Craftsman T900

Someone brings me this mower after they and their brother inlaw messes with it. They said it would not crank. They charged the battery, changed the solonoid and checked the fuse. Still no crank. They jumped the starter and it turned. There were guessing on the solonoid. They did not test...

Basic small engine problem - What fixed it?

That is great when you have a local store that sells stuff still at a reasonable price. My local Ace is $5 plus for a plug now. The Autoparts store may be $4 plus. Forget Lowes or the Orange rip off chain. My local Walmart only carries Autolite. The prices are still very low. I have never...

Basic small engine problem - What fixed it?

I often find cleaning and regaping the plug is good enough. They are not as cheap as they use to be. As much as 7 bucks at the box store.

Need wiring schematic for Craftsman T900

I am stumped on an electrical problem with a Craftsman T900 lawn tractor. Model number 247.203791. It is made by MTD and the companion MTD number is 13AP79XT099. DOM is 2015. I have searched on line and have not come up with anything helpful. If anyone has a PDF and can share it, I would...

Tuff Torq K46 - rebuild or just drain/refill oil?

His technical content is very good. Enough detail and good video views. I dont care for the dramatic entertainment component. Fast forward through it. He apparently has a good time doing it but it is not my thing.

Tuff Torq K46 - rebuild or just drain/refill oil?

Regarding the transaxle oil TT has this chart. JD has their own hydraulic oil, Hy-Gard- Hi (Low) viscosity. But TT dose not recommend the JD HyGard. Some JD tractors use the transaxle to power other hydraulic devices on the tractor. That is my take on why this discrepancy. If you do not use...

JD with AWS need to remove transaxle

I did not price them but like most JD parts they are likely very expensive. Did you? I can destroy the transaxle if need be. I was hoping to salvage it to some day rebuild or have for parts.

JD with AWS need to remove transaxle

Here is an update. I got the transaxle out of the machine and separated from the carrier. No need to remove the fenders. Everything was easy enough to get to from underneath. The king pin bolts came out with out much trouble using my impact. TomPlum was right..... I used a 1 1/8 6 pt. impact...
