Picked up this piece at a local equipment yard for $50, as a head start on fabricating a thumb. Salesman didn't know origin or even if there were other associated parts. Worked out with minimal modification and I like that pulling the top 2 pins it falls completely off.

It has been a while but I seem to remember using 1/8" copper coated welding rod, the type welding shops sell for oxy/acet welding, with good success.

Picking at a stump, outside was rotten but center was solid! Yeah, I was pleased my welds from a couple years back held.

Rosebud, sledge hammer and 30 ton press , it's straight and welded now. Will reinforce the back side before putting back in service.

Is there room to get a big pipe wrench on it with a long cheater pipe on the handle for leverage? Heat on stuck nuts is alway a good thing, just be ready to extinguish the fire if the old grease catches.

So, my machine last week after a couple of hard work began activating the glow plugs. The result is a rattling noise, I suspect pre-ignition. As a stop gap I plan to put a toggle switch in the power wire to the glow plugs. Only have a manual for T-9. It gives P/N 70038 which is I'm guessing a...
