Rosebud, sledge hammer and 30 ton press , it's straight and welded now. Will reinforce the back side before putting back in service.

Definetley beat up for sure and not the first time neither :).
Doesn't look like the shanks are on far enough to me?

I rebuild a lot of buckets but mostly front end loader buckets where the owners put a smile in them because they don't use an excavation bucket but a light duty material bucket instead. removing the smile isn't cheap.

The strip of metal the shanks are welded too is of questionable grade/quality. It looks too brittle for the application (see crystallized grain structure). Once the cracks get back to the bucket metal, they stop. If this happens too often, rebuild it.
