Wouldn't the oil 'go' to the other end of the cylinder? there was no leaking on the floor. AHH I see what you mean now. I hadn't thought of the 'exposed' rod entering and having to displace the oil..Because the rod takes up space inside the cylinder. Not sure why I hadnt thought of that. Makes...

Im thinking the oil is seeping past the seals so the oil is displaced to the other end of the cylinder. Much like if an engine has bad ring seals the combustion mix can enter the lower end. Sorry Im still at a loss. And more confusing where some people are talking the valve. The valve is...

Thanks. yes i checked the lift cylinders but will try the curls next. (disconnecting them) Luckily there are no leaks on the ground..

Hello, I am attempting to probably rebuild the lift and curl cylinders on my Ford 7108 Loader. After viewing a few U Tube vids I had never thought that the leak down (thats slowly gotten worse over the years) could be the control valve . So I found this video of how this woman checks for it...
