Ah ha, Poland has MANY vintage Yanmars running around there. I bet you might even see a few if you are out in the country.

Here is the Polish forum I visit with YANMARS.

This is NOT from Poland. Forum you linked is from Croatia.

I am buying most of the parts I need from Poland and the Netherlands. They have a great selection and even manufacture parts like the front grill by 3D printing.

GREAT ! On the YTOG, a few members have 3D modeled and have 3D printing files too.

Yes, the front grills often are metal on the vintage machines and hard to find.
Newer machines are the same arrangement and have plastic grills.
Thus, 3D Printing front grills are very possible for the vintage models as replacements.

The YTOG has a few available for FREE to download.

That's awesome! My tractor is a little newer so it has many plastic parts - including the front grill. My front grill was "repaired" with fiberglass and looks like a war crime. I am hoping I can salvage the metal perforated grill. If not I will bend up some new grill from aluminium and replace it. On a seperate note, I have now sourced all the correct paints for the panels and wheels. I will also be re-painting all the implements at the same time so everything will have fresh paint and decals.

Before/after photos?

It sounds as if your tractor was fortunate to find a home with you. Have fun!

All the best,

Peter

Thanks @ponytug . I'll post some pictures of it today as I haul some firewood. I will take plenty of pictures and post the paint colours so others who want to repaint their F series Yanmars won't have to trawl the internet to find the information.

On a separate note, I noticed an oil leak on the front right wheel. I am not even sure what the names are of the parts I will need to replace. Based on the diagram though, I would guess these would be the simmering seal, bearing and worn bushing. Based on the parts manual, I would imagine 3 which is 194447-13640, 5 which is 194447-13670 and the bearing - 26 which is 24104-063044. It looks like I can get the bearing as a standard offering from SKF: 6304 2RS SKF.
It's always an adventure to find the right parts.

That's the info I'm looking for. I will likely change the bearing while I'm there since I can get one for $13. It will cost me more money n time later if it turns out the seal failed due to axial play in the bearing.

Here is the little Yanmar being put to work.

If it were me, I would buy the parts for both sides. After you have done this one, you can decide if the other side is worn enough that the preventative maintenance is worth it sooner, rather than later.

I will do that Pete. I am slowly accumulating a full set of parts for eventual repairs to the main wear components. It is such a challenge to find everything I only want to buy it once so I am getting the parts to repair both sides.

For a machine that age, with an unknown history, I think that is prudent. Good luck!

How far north are you in Norway?

Thanks. I'm not so very far North. About an hour from Oslo although I do travel up North on my holidays to a place called Langfkordbotn which is way up there: Google Maps

Sorry, I am not familiar with the acronym REL. I am assuming you mean hydraulic rear linkage and quick connects? Yes, it does. I have just chosen to use the hydraulic top link instead of any hydraulic tools since that is far more useful with the low-volume pump on the F14D.

It is the other end of the tractor from a "Front End Loader", and the "REL" is a "Rear End Loader".

I think it has positives and negatives, but those are often very dependent on individual needs.

Längfjordbotn seems to be very scenic, and yes, it would seem to be hard to get much farther north than that in Norway, without being in Svalbard...

REL = Rear End Loader.

There use to be a several manufactures back 25 years ago offering such novel REL devices in North American. Today, there are only two manufactures and very expensive.

A REL is easy to attach and remove vs a FEL. Makes the ability to quickly swap as needed.

Ah OK. Yes the REL came with the tractor. These are much more common in Norway than other places and can be bougth for about $500 second-hand. They are a bit harder to find for little tractors like mine though.

Fairly common here in Portugal too. Not as convenient as a front loader but it does put all the loads on the strongest axle of the tractor.

Regarding installing and removing a front loader, I can do it fairly easily. Lately I've been putting the loader on, doing the task I need and remove it right away. A couple minutes to install and remove. Nice and easy.

I would love to have one of those. I only need to raise it to a flat utility trailer, not a dump truck.
Yours looks great like a quick-hitch of sorts. (y)
PLUS, look how nice and level it sits vs a FEL that is huge and needs a stand.
