Our fan took a crap in the bedroom and was looking at big ass fans. Anyone have any input. Looks like they have a 15 year warranty. My boss has them in his shop and they move a lot of air

We use a little dresser top almost silent fan that rotates. Cheap and has worked for years.

They seem to have a good reputation...in businesses I frequent. Same fan...decades later. Lol. Have not seen one in a house just yet.

I have seen them in industrial settings and smaller residential shops. They work great and are quiet, but have not heard of household fans

I used to use some of their fans in factories back in the 1990's, and the speed shop where I did all of my dyno testing used them in front of the dyno bay. Solid product and good customer support, but I didn't know they made any residential products.

Their old trade magazine adds in the 1990's used to be great. My favorite was when they came out with their "Little-Ass Fan, from Big-Ass Fans".

Home Depot has one over their contractor checkout area that's been working good for years. I'm always impressed with how much air it moves in such a big area.

I know one person that had one in their shop and they loved it. But it was very pricey!!!!! They sold that place and have commented about getting another one.

Might be a bit extreme for a bedroom application . . . depending on what goes on there.

(I am still dont ask, dont tell. Olde Skool).

For large shop, warehouse, industrial, etc., applications -- quite the machine. Have put them in for Big Tire Stores and Warehouse type places. We have some for the Carpentry, Plumbing and General Construction bays at school.

Balanced blades, 3 Phase Variable Freq Drives, and some SERIOUS mounting.

The smaller residential . . . dunno. Probably good quality if they put their name on them . . . but a bit pricey? Dunno, I am cheap.

Im thinking you would need a very little ass bigass fan.

We got a 20'+ MacroAir for our indoor arena/barn. They were the original from which BigAss split. Saved a LOT. You pay for a lotta hype with BA.

Well, slap my butt and call me Nellie, I didn't know they made small Big Ass Fans.

I'd never heard of them so did a search.
It reminded me of a recent discussion about how much more are you willing to pay to buy American.

I didnt know they made ceiling fans for the house either until I looked. My thought is it could be the last one i ever put in my bedroom if they are that reliable. I dont mind paying a bit more if something is going to last. But its apparent not many people know about them selling bedroom fans.

I wanted a ceiling fan for the garage , Then checked B A prices and almost needed heart medication.

Took a gamble and bought an amazon sale 96" 8 blade unit. It works great with 6 speeds, the only caveate is always start on speed one -sometimes the drive timing gets messed up if starting on higher speed settings and it shakes until restated on one. Once moving any speed is fine to set.
2 1/4 years and it was only $350, today it is $290.

Big Ass wants about $5K for their 8 footer.

I would buy the "ZMISHIBO" again. Big Ass fans reminds me of the Idiocracy movie scene for Carl' s Junior "Extra Big Ass Fries..." and the price difference for what you get seems similar.

We have ceiling fans in both our living room, office, and our bedroom. We have them on 24/7, year 'round, but we keep them on slow. They're totally quiet but they do a nice job of keeping the air from being stale.

We also have a pair on our front porch but turn them on only when we're out there chilling.

IMHO, I think they're a good investment.

ps All of our fans are 42". I doubt that qualifies as a 'Big Ass Fan" :)
