Some are paid very well… my hats off to them for figuring a legal way to earn money.

As soon as i hear the term influencer, i change channel or click another article. Nothing like a 12 year old thats trying to tell a 50 year old how to invest for retirement.

I just refinanced my truck with my local CU and the loan officer had a rather interesting and padded title; no knock on her, she was wonderful, I wish I could remember what it was.
There seems to be a lot of that these days, I imagine it's related to marketing and company image more than anything, but I have nothing backing that up.

Sad to say, when I hear of some young social influencer dying particularly when doing something stupid, there is a small area in my soul that screams "YES,ANOTHER LESS ONE IN THE WORLD!!!".

If you stop to consider, Influencer is just the updated title to Paid Actor. I have never been influenced by any actor for any reason, be it beer, clothes, California, trips, political etc. Oprah may be the richest woman on earth, or not, but she can't convince me to buy anything. They may put an idea in my head, but I'm looking it up for myself.

Ironically enough, that comment made me look something like that up. There is a woman who claimed to be the first "plus size" hooters girl out there. Low and behold, she has a instagram account with "followers". Go figure.
