Where do you park/store your tractor?

How do you deal with the snow melting off the tractor? Do you have a floor drain? I used to store my tractor in a heated garage, but with no floor drain I was constantly trying to sweep water out the door.

I simply use a broom to get rid of the majority of the snow before putting the tractor back in the garage.

The little that's left and melts off once it's inside has never created more than 2' by 2' "puddles" and those evaporate quickly.

Same. I inherited a hog brush from my father, I'd guess he kept it for scrubbing boat decks, but that gets run real quick over the plow and other caked areas before I back the tractor into the shed or shop. I'm not getting every last little bit of snow, but I probably knock more than 90% of it off outside, in about 30 seconds' time.

Climate controlled for a tractor is a nice luxury but dammed if I would pay for heat and a/c for a tractor LOL
I got better things to do with climate controlled space.

I live on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Humidity/salt air/rust is a huge problem in my shop. Heat/a/c is virtually a necessity to keep tools and equipment from rusting. The tractor is a third party beneficiary.

The L4240 lives in a wood/vinyl sided shed with a metal roof and treated wood floor. It is usually dry or at least has the snow removed from it. It gets run on salty roads to get back and forth to town. I noted on another thread that after that, the 20V DeWalt pressure washer is used to blow the salt and snow off of it.

I picked it up used about 7 years ago and it was one of the earlier runs of L4240's. My guess is it gets washed more than some. Also gets waxed at least once a year.

The implements don't get treated that well, but I don't have lots of indoor or under roof storage. Maybe there's enough material around to get started on a lean-to when the weather improves.

Our tractors have lived outdoors, the same place they get used .
The Kubotas do not like being stored outside, that paint fades horribly, even if you wax it.
Deere seems to have better paint quality and don't fade as much and if it does it's less noticeable.

Although I store mine outside, I would like to have it covered at least. I hope to one day build a pole shed and have half sides on it to provide shade but not enclosed. Help keep rodents out and not worry about extra property tax for a large shed

Yes, they even use it for roads. Oil reduces dust, and doesn't evaporate.

Although I store mine outside, I would like to have it covered at least.

I really couldn't care much less about how the paint looks, but keep the tractors shaded to help the hoses and tires live longer.

I put CaCl on our shop driveway last year for the first time. Worked amazingly well and lasted a long time. The only downside was that it was hard to spread - didn't want to fall down the hopper, so we had to keep jumping the 3-pt to get it to go.

I have found that the only thing that keeps rodents out of my barns are my 4 barn cats.

My tractor is parked in the RV garage. Am I super careful when backing into the parking place, you bet; but I'm getting too old to walk the ¼mile from the pole barn in the field back to the house when I'm tired from 6-8 hrs of tractor work.
