What is that? Half a tractor? :p
 I like my two Japanese bikes, but while I've never been on one, I've always been intrigued by the Rokon...... been around a long time, something like 1960 origins.....

Pretty sure this below (accent is correct), is the Oz short-vid that well conveys what these are about.....

Having just thinned-down your herd scoot, they also have a street-legal one ;)

I guess it should be called Half a 4wd tractor !

My next-door neighbor owned a Rokon for several years so I got to ride it some. Unstoppable in rough terrain. Also - very slow! You're not going ride this thing to the trail head!

Roger that ^.

Light enough (not much over 200#).... trailer it, behind a Gold-Wing ?

The Rokon's were very durable extreme terrain travelers, the originals even had a "canteen" to fit in the wheels that when filled with air the bike could be floated across deep water.

Certain factory wheels are like that today..... can even haul fuel in 'em ! Mini transfer-pump, good for a longgg run ? (Looks like most models, except Scout).

It's riding season here. Will be too hot in summer. I've made a couple of small improvements on the Rally. Tusk wide foot pegs. They are longer too. Too much grip for me, hard to slide up to the shifter or brake lever so I removed the front row of cleats and I like em. Enjoying the added real estate for long standing stretches. Added some Zeta short levers to better clear the Zeta handguards...I think they planned that :D Just got back from an on and off road test ride. I like it

The pegs that came on my XT250 looked like they belonged on a minibike so one of the first things I did was to buy a set of larger ones.

I'm glad it's riding season for you and those who live in the south! Here there's still snow on the ground and the roads are gritted with cinders and salt.

I bought a new, leftover 2025 1300GS 3 weeks ago. It had 2 miles on it and still does, I've never ridden it yet. :(
I have been doing a few things to it though. It came with the small sport shield which I replaced with a tinted tour shield and I added a fender extender to keep some of the dirt off the front of the engine. Also added a larger plate on the luggage rack to carry the tent and gear, and for panniers I ordered SW-Motech, top load aluminum ones from Europe. I hope they don't get held up or that I get hit too hard with customs.

Come on Spring, daylight savings time starts in 12 days!

Love it! Such a huge difference between the above and the BMW R75/5 I bought new in 1973!

I spend a lot of time traveling really remote back country. And the GS series is the only large-bore bike I see out there on those dirt roads, no other manufacturer makes anything that can easily traverse those roads.

Thank you deserteagle and yes it should be quite a difference. My first BMW was a 1976 R75/6 which hooked me and I've had an R60/5 and quite a number of more modern BMW's since. Maybe my favorite motorcycle of all was a 1991 R100GS simply because it was simple yet did everything quite well from dirt roads to I-80 across the US.

This 1300GS will no doubt run and handle like a scalded cat but it has a lot of "tech' that I'm concerned with, like keyless ride, active suspension that it lowers and rises as you slow and speed up, multiple riding modes.... TBH I'm very cautiously optimistic.

That bike is full of technology! and a pretty high price tag. Hope it works out great for you.

Those Tusk pegs are huge; almost in running board territory.
