My 2026 E35R2 has a back up alarm, infact it is a anytime moving alarm. It has a shut off switch but the minute you stop moving and then start again the switch defaults back to on. So to avail yourself of some peace and quite you have to keep turning it off which I would think is unsafe in it self as now your paying more attentio to shutting it off then you are to operating the machine.

If you cant shut if off how about a way to muffle it??? Must be some way :) Regards, Joe

An on-off switch in one of the power leads will shut it down so it won't be a nuisance when noone is around, and still be readily restored when needed.

You could just unplug the beeper. Might not be handy for intermittent situations depending on how hard it is to access. Or replace it with one of the European style shoosh shoosh noise makers that are less annoying.

I have a back up alarm that is a bird chirping. It gets attention without being annoying.

Hey I had an epiphany :) I thought why not just put a piece of duct tape or?? over the alarm. Man it works like a dream. I can still hear it but barely. If I happen to be on a job that requires that annoying sound I just pull off the tape. Cost? about 2 pennies, Wait pennies are gone aren't they?

on my 04 F350 I Had my dash panel out once and located the beeper. It was a small cube on the circuit board about 1/4x1/4""x1/2" long with a hole in the end that emits the sound. A dab of JB weld plugged the hole and cured the annoyance
.
When working in the field in and out of our trucks we shouldn't have to listen to constant beeping.
With new vehicle they could have a choice of tones like our ringtones on phones.
They figure making it annoying as possible will force compliance.

I just order the bird chirping alarm for my skid steer.

(y) Blue masking tape wont leave a nasty residue as DT will over long application. Not weatherproof though.
